I think the biggest problem I have with the article.. not just that it's completely bonkers and wrong... is that the guy is a major hypocrite on such subjects in the past so I've no idea why he decided to even get himself into this kind of trouble. And.. he *should* know better, being a law professor. Maybe he's not a very good one, but still you'd think there'd be some understanding.

Remember, not all lawyers know everything especially regarding immigration issues.

If you have to qualify something you say by asserting you're not something that the vast majority of people are not (without even being asked), then something is fishy. My employer never had to specify they're not a pyramid scheme, ever. Why? Because they're not. The vast majority of people never have to say they're not birthers because it's obvious they're not.

Also, what victim? It's kind of obvious that the attacks in this case are racist. This doesn't make powerful people victims, of course but it does make the attackers look pathetic.

I fail to see how this is racist, but I tend to view the world without the color lens.

I'm only aware of presidents or presidential candidates with dark skin that have their citizenship status questioned.

I'm only aware of one president who was suspected of being born outside the US.  All he had to do to prove himself was show his birth certificate, which he never did.

Well, now there's a VP candidate being accused of not being a citizen. And Obama did show his birth certificate, lol. Not that he had to.

He's supposed to be into 'constitutional law' of which this should fall under, and has argued (I think) before Congress various immigration issues. So either he's a grade A idiot or being dishonest...?

Almost like tax returns, eh?  LOL

Sorry, I meant to say he could have shown his original birth certificate, not the replacement thereof.  His original would have been printed on foil paper, like below.  Which was three prior to the one you linked to.  But whatever.  It's in the past now.

Umm, I believe there was a lot of questions surround John McCain, and Ted Cruz.  Of course neither one won, but there was still media attention paid to something that is pointless.

Btw, Senator Harris is a VP Candidate, or was that a Freudian slip?

Yeah, right.  Not sure Constitutional Law scholars are ones I would turn to for immigration questions.  In fact most of those types are pretty unreliable.

Nitpicking. I didn't give USCIS my original birth certificate either, just the replacement, it's still valid and real.

Nope, not a lot of questions in any way.

I never paid much attention back when the whole birther thing was going on, mostly because it didn't matter (still doesn't,  actually).  He either was born in America, or had friends in places to create a "valid and real" copy as was made public.

Just today, looking for an original HI birth certificate, I noticed that Obamas certificate number was 10641, yet he was born one day before the one of two twins I posted above (10637 & 10638). Seems like someone messed up the numbering.
