It's been a crazy week!

Just a quick update!

To board a flight from Pakistan a covid test must be taken (and negative) a few days before.  My husband traveled back to Islamabad to complete the Covid test and fly to USA from there.  He flew Qatar to (stopping at Doha) JFK  (JFK POE was quick and smooth).  He was out of the airport after landing in under 45min (this includes getting off the plane, immigration and bag collection).

We both still feel like this is all a dream and so very Thankful!

Congrats!!! Hoping to reunite with my loved one too.

He had to get a covid test and there was no testing area near him in addition he couldn't fly direct from his home city...just easier to do all from Islamabad.

was it walk in testing? Or did you need appt? I know test results are good for 48 (72 hrs)

Do they only have these in ISL? No other city?

Yes he made an appointment on idc.net.pk there are other testing sites but not close to his home city.  Check with the airline as each one is different.

So the CO accused you guys of lying and fraud in Dec 2017, had you do another interview in Oct 2018, and then approved you in August 2020? What changed in the second interview for them to believe you?

Nothing changed.  We just proved them wrong.  They were mostly biased claims.
