I have went for interview since March 2020 in Nigeria but i was given a 221g letter to submit either my Driver License or other means of I.D to DHL office but unfortunately the lockdown started and I was not able to submit my I.D till this moment because they haven’t resumed back yet. Now my wife is not feeling well and we don’t know the procedure to take for emergency request. Please kindly advice on the steps to take. Thank you!

One step you will need is to gather evidence of your wife's medical conditions.  After that, it appears you will have to email the consulate to request an expedite.

You have to provide documented evidence of the sickness. For example, if s/he has a medical condition, then the documents detailing the condition should be provided. It is not a simple write and ask. Keep in mind, it still does not guarantee an expedite and even an expedite approval does not mean it will go super fast.

Oh ok @Dashinka and @Unlockable, thanks for the information, I really appreciate. Will go ahead and gather evidence of her medical condition. @Dashinka, I check the link you send to me but don’t understand payment for visa fee application because I have already done my interview at US consulate embassy in Lagos back in March.

What are you hoping to expedite?  If they asked for further documents after your interview, and you haven't submitted them, asking for an expedite will not make the process faster.

@Jorgedig so what can I do regards to my wife present condition? I have all the documents they ask me to submit with me but there office is closed. But someone told me they are attending to emergency cases and I have tried to reach them on email but no response. That’s why I’m asking if anybody have an idea what I can do.
