I filed the AOS without the i944 and mailed it on Wednesday, it was delivered this morning. On he USCIS website there are no updates regarding the i944 form, so I hope I did well as this is the second time that I mail the application as the first time it was rejected because of the i944 (I didn't file it the first time because I didn't know about it).

My concern now is that I thiked "Yes" where it asks weather I am exempt from filing it and in the notes I mentionned the injunction of inadmissibility... But reading previous posts on this thread, that was probably a mistake and I shoud have thiked "No". I hope that that won't be a reason for rejection!!

That’s what am trying to avoid that’s why I said I don’t know the negativity of waiting.

Waiting to file I-485 is risky:

I will call the USCIS tomorrow and gather more information.

The law is very clear. Can't work before receiving either EAD or GC. Note that USCIS line is also known as the "misinformation line."

So I can do it myself, I don’t need a lawyer? I would love to to know if you filed yours. Papers needed and if it’s okay with you when you landed in the USA. I got here in late March.

99% of the people in this website filed the forms without a lawyer or other help. This is a DIY forum.

So i'm trying to compile all this ridiculous amount of paperwork.

What are the required/supporting documents for the 944? My foreign spouse doesn't have a lot to go on, in fact our application pretty much implies that she will be dependent on me until she gets authorized to work. So no tax info, no assets, essentially no education, not much of anything. I've been able to add her to my insurance and it will take effect Sept 1st (i wanna file this week... like tomorrow if possible).

So do i just include the stuff I have included in my 864 packet? I'm doing a 130(me)/485(her) concurrent filing thingy. There'll be a lot of redundancy but that's all i have. Basically my employer letter indicating yearly income, some pay stubs, and tax return from last year (worked only 6 months).

AOS

When are you planning to file? I-944 is not required right now. USCIS won't just start requiring it again overnight. They will give a notice on the website. The injuction doesn't say you must file, it says USCIS can request it again if they want to, and right now, they don't want you to send it.

Corona made a lot change for us that even getting married was a challenge.

What challenge did you face? Were you able to get married within the 90 days of K-1 status?

So I can do it myself,

Yes. The forms needed will depend on your answer to my 2nd question above. If you didn't marry within the 90 days then you'll also need the US citizen to file I-130 petition.
