Hello. Can anyone please help with CSPA age calculation for F22 visa category? I saw a few calculators online but Since F2A is current in visa Bulletin i dont know what date to put on visa availability date..

 

Priority date:14 sep 2017.

Approval date :15 oct 2019.

 I got DQ in 27 June 2020 and waiting for interview call. I will be turning 21 in 28 sep 2020 and I wanted to first of all check my CSPA cover and then check if i can apply for the exemption under the ban. 

Lastly, can I also check whether CSPA applies automatically or do we need to send them an email or fill a form upon turning 21? And do i need to worry about getting my visa category changed to F2B? Thanks.

Your CSPA age is locked in at under 21 since you are currently under 21, your PD is current, and you've filed a DS-260.  You do not need to worry about aging out of the F2a category.  There is nothing that you need to do - it's automatic.  The consular officer at your interview will make the final determination.  

 

Whether you can get an exemption for the ban is another matter.  It's unlikely.  So expect to have your interview sometime in the first half of 2021.

So my CSPA is automatically applied. I don’t have to do anything about it??

Visa availability date is later of priority date being current, or approval date if i130. So if F2A is current as it is now, you use approval date. (The effect is that your CSPA age is whatever it was when the petition was filed.)

 

And yes the CO automatically calculates CSPA.
