I have seen alot of people on here that their spouses will be going or has gone through the embassy's in Egypt and Jordan and a few others. Has anyone been or is going through the embassy in Kuwait for their interviews? If so what can my husband Hassan expect when he goes for his interview there and does anyone know how long it will take once the NVC sends all of the paperwork to the embassy for them to schedule an interview date? My lawyer told me that it's good that Hassan and I got married in Kuwait versus Jordan and some other Middle East countries and that Kuwait doesn't have so many petitions to go through like Egypt and Jordan does....what exactly did he mean and if so is it true? I'm really confused now with this whole process!! My lawyer sent the I-129 papers in and they received it on April 29,2007 and the notice date says May 02,2007, then I got a notice saying it was sent to CSC on May 18,2007 and then I got an e-mail on June 12,2007 saying your case is now pending at the CSC. If anyone can give me any kind of information and what to expect and how long it will take for Hassan to get his Visa and finally come to be with me and our sons I would greatly appreciate it. I also know that I have filled out and paid for the I-130 but I never heard anything from that, I have no idea when my lawyer sent that one in....you have to send the I-130 for the service centers to be able to go and do your I-129 right? So they must off got the I-130 because I have the receipt number for the I1-29 that is at the CSC now.....I'm soooooo confused!!!:help:

Sorry but I don't know how the Kuwaiti embassy works so I can't help you there.

Yes, for a K3 you must file the I-130 first. It's normal for petitions to be transferred from one service center to another. Are you 100% sure your atty filed the I-130? There have been cases where attys have messed things up for ppl big time.

Yes I'm sure that the I130 was filed, I just don't know the date when it was filed. Thanks for replying to me. :)

Hey Moody I finally got some answers from my immigration lawyer, he finally gave me the receipt number for my I-130 and the CSC received it and is pending there ever since May 19th 2007 so now I know for sure it was filed. Also the CSC received my I-129 and has been pending there since May 02, 2007. I keep counting the days until my husband and I are reunited. :crying:

One thing your lawyer menat by being lucky you were not going Egypt or Jordan, is that once USCIS is finished with this side of the petition you will not have a long wait for the interview at the consulate level because Kuwait is les burdened by the number of applications.

Everyone going through these kisa will have some kind of security check fone before the visa is actually entered. Sometimes this slows the process down a few months and there is no way to predict this. It's nothing to be worried about, bisas are rarely denied after this process. So it just means patience, the consulate in Kuwait City estimates it takes 1-4 weeks after the interview.

24 March 2009 I-751 received by USCIS

27 March 2009 Check Cashed

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.
