The marriage was legit. The only reason I filed for annulment was because we had no connection after and she was disrespectful. I used the term "friends" because she was never really serious with me but then she also wouldn't let go of me so I thought marrying her would let her stay. Meanwhile my now fiance was serious with me so I decided to choose her instead

I just received my annulment decree. I married a friend last year to help get her documents but I felt she didn't appreciate me and use to disrespect me so I decided to annul the marriage and bring my fiancee through K1 visa. Will the annulment affect my K1 application?

Get a lawyer before you file K1,

Does not matter your annulment at all, forget about it. You need proper representation of your future case.

DO NOT mention anymore that you was trying to help your friend get documents, this wording would get you in big problems with your next K1.Get a lawyer, you can not do that on your own for your case.

Okay so I am going to send in my application. I just won't make mention of the circumstances surrounding my annulment. I will just explain i had a bad break up during the interview stage.

I would say chill out for sometime until all this dies down. Doing this now will cause all manner of red flags.

The condition is for us to be free to marry and I have enough evidence to support the legitimacy of my relationship so how is that going to be a problem? Marriages end all the time, doesnt matter whether it ends in 10 years or 1 year. I married someone I wasn't in love with and I divorced the person to marry the one i am in love with. So why should that be a problem?

So you have a marriage (which you have to disclose) and an annulment (on the basis of fraud, I'm guessing)?

What is wrong with you guys? I got married and separated last year. I met someone else and filed annulment to bring the person here so what is the deal? Yes the woman I previously married to was u documented but that was only a secondary reason for me to marry her. I may have started this thread on the wrong foot but this is my honest explanation. The annulment has been finalized and am free to marry someone else.
