Thank you so much Ogoja_chick4ever, our case have not been approved yet we are still at uscis stage we just think it taken too long. The issue is we don’t know exactly what the problem is as we have called the uscis several times but they keep saying they are working on it or they are doing security check. Any subjection will be appropriated.

Thanks all.

As long as the Counslate office in Lagos is closed there's nothing you can do but wait it out. I know I'm in the same boat. I miss my husband so much.. We just pray and know God is working on behalf.

Amen!!

Can you request for expedite with uscis?  Or processing time deficit because your case has fallen outside the normal processing times.

Nigeria remains one of the banned countries at this time .. until the ban  is lifted  Immigrant visas will not be issued.

Not exactly true. Can still obtain visa if consular thinks you qualify for the presidential proclamation waiver.

Since it's been at USCIS for two years, you can inquire because it's outside of processing time. Call, email, do an open records review. The ban on Nigeria has nothing at all to do with it.AT ALL!!We can get around the ban once there.

But I can tell you this, you should have applied from the US and not Nigeria. You only apply DF if you are residing or living there. This might be prolonging it. Call USCIS and demand an answer. Two years is too long.

Get a good lawyer because most are taking people's money and not doing anything. Make sure your case is active. After two years without approval most get cancelled. Good luck!
