I have went for interview since March 2020 in Nigeria but i was given a 221g letter to submit either my Driver License or other means of I.D to DHL office but unfortunately the lockdown started and I was not able to submit my I.D till this moment because they haven’t resumed back yet. Now my wife is not feeling well and we don’t know the procedure to take for emergency request. Please kindly advice on the steps to take. Thank you!

After 2 years our case is still at the uscis what do we need to do now or rather what approach do we need to take?

TIme to have your attorney get active, or contact the ombudsman's office or reach out to the congressional delegation.

Where is the petition at?  USCIS, NVC or Consulate.

Based on your timeline the last place it was is the Texas Service Center.  If so it has been sitting there too long.

Are you a US citizen?

Your "Attorney" should know what is going on:

Yes am USA citizen . So is it ok to call visa center . Thank you

It is.. u have to have a strong case

Just what is a strong case. We love each other, we married and it's taken us 17 months today, my 3 trips to Nigeria, and still don't know when we'll be able to be together. So who gets the waiver, the ones that have done what? The ones that have a lot of money, just wondering what a strong case is. If everyone here in the US had to go through all this turmoil just to be married and live together, there would be a lot more people single. God does not intend for people who love each other to be separated . The vows say what God has joined, let "No" man separate! PRAYERS FOR ALL OF US GOING THROUGH NIGERIA WITH THIS PROCESS!🙏🙏🙏

At what stage is your process? Have your petition been approved? Are at past the NVC stage? Have you been at interview? Could help to know what stage you are at.

We are awaiting an intefview date but our case is still at NVC  until then I guess.  It's just heartbreaking. I miss my husband so much.. Just keep praying for news that the embassy will open soon. Have emailed them twice with no response. Very depressing!😪😪

Thank you, and my prayers go out to all those going through this process in Nigeria. My husband's friend got his visa in March and it took him from then until last week to get to the US. I still don't know how he got a flight because what I read about the evacuation flights leaving there it was only for US citizens or LPR people. So confusing to me. I too am trying to be strong but you're right, it's tough to be strong every day. God will see us through. We must keep the faith!

As long as the Counslate office in Lagos is closed there's nothing you can do but wait it out. I know I'm in the same boat. I miss my husband so much.. We just pray and know God is working on behalf.
