My attorney just finished uploading all the required documents at the NVC website.

Taking a look today at them, I see 2 shocking things:

1) Under the CIVIL DOCUMENTS tab, I see that in the PHOTOGRAPHS part, she uploaded the pdf with the photos of me and my spouse that we did for the I130, I thought it should contain my passport photos.

2) We have a joint sponsor, but instead of adding a joint sponsor, she uploaded all the financial documents of our joint sponsor and my spouse's finantial documents all together, that does not look right does it?

What do you think about it?

Thank you all.

Not right..

1) a 2x2 US passport style photo of the beneficiary goes under "photographs" for civil docs. Side-loaded evidence photos would be uploaded under "other"

2) Joint sponsor's docs cannot be uploaded under the primary sponsor's docs, you must use the "add joint sponsor" option and upload the joint sponsor's docs under their own section. You may want to consider dropping the lawyer and taking care of the rest yourself.. doesn't sound like she knows what she is doing

Photographs are for passport photos of the beneficiary

relevant financials should be uploaded under the specfic sponsor

id recommend you fix it yourself and dump the lawyer.

If they’ve submitted you may need to email NVC and ask them to reopen it so you can fix it... or you risk the likelihood of having to wait 8 weeks for the documents to be reviewed and rejected before you’re able to fix it..

I'd fire the lawyer.  This is exactly why lawyers are generally not recommended in straightforward cases.  No one has a greater investment in your process than you.

Photographs section are for photocopy of beneficiaries's  passport biographic data page.

Thank you all.

The Affidavit of Support from your spouse (petitioner) and the joint-sponsor's Affidavit of Support and support documents (including financial info) should be uploaded in the corresponding folders/section - not together.

You should fire your lawyer - what she did was completely wrong!
