Can anybody who has had an interview at cdj share what to expect at the interview? My two step children have one coming up soon.

Our kids went for their visa interview today, they were given a blue paper it a return date for Monday. Is this the new norm? They were also given the rights for living in the US.

Yes. It mentions this on the consulate website and also others have mentioned it earlier in this thread. I don't have the link handy at this moment. Some people have both the same day if the 1st one is early enough.

Does it matter if the petitioner renews his passport? All docs approved, just waiting on appointment in Juarez.

No doesn't matter. This is a pretty common occurrence. They might be able to update it at the CAS appointment. Otherwise, they are able to update it during the actual interview.

does the petitioners passport matter at that point? isn't it just the beneficiaries they need?

I'm not sure right now with the covid situation, usually it would be around 1 week, probably worth checking one of the facebook groups where people post a lot more.

yeah... my spouse and I are already in the US. They are prioritizing interviews for those who are separated from their relatives.

 

I don't believe that is the best approach, but that is just my own personal opinion...
