BTW all K-1 interviews are happening in Mexico City now.

"K applicants with cases at NVC are being scheduled for appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City"

I haven't seen any new dates issues for May so far, anyone else? In April there were a lot of people posting in the FB group.

Before COVID, they used to assign interviews only during the first week of  each month. I've been wondering if they're doing that again.

They did for April, but I haven't seen people commenting about receiving an appointment in May so far.

There have been a few on FB for beneficiaries waiting outside the US from CC Sep/Oct/Nov 2019. Strangely, they have been received "expedited" approval notifications, even though they didn't request their cases to be expedited.

We received an "expedited" notification for my wife's interview and we hadn't requested it to be expedited.  It looked like someone copy and pasted from another email and forgot to take out the expedited part.

yeah I think everyone has been getting that.

On one of the department of state websites it shows the status of the consulate as emergency appointments only.

As long as it's moving along.

that's crazy, just buying a ticket with that little notice will be a burden on people, maybe the person scheduling the appointments dropped the ball on something.

yep it can be troublesome for those with kids/other responsabilities/difficult to get PTO approved etc

What if  you still have to get whatever document (divorce papers, Birth Certificate) and ship those to the applicant's country they might not get there in time, or people who have to renew their passport.... it can be complicated, doable maybe, but stressful lol

Anyway one can't complain these days, I've heard things like "I wouldn't mind if my interview was in 2 weeks"..... sigh, yes, me too, but it's still kinda crazy to get it all done in two weeks...
