Because we stress about every little detail in this process. It's just what we do.

You are right. But man does it feel good when it's over. Now I have a reprieve until I have to worry about AOS.

Trust me...AOS isn't that bad as far as filling out the paperwork. You can get a lot done beforehand, and then all you have to do is wait for the certified marriage certificate to include with your application. The hardest part for us was the wait for Joel's green card. The best part was being able to wait it out together. :)

[*]July 17/06 -IMBRA RFE

September 13/06- 3 Emails stating we got NOA2, APPROVED!!! Dated September 8,2006.

December 6,2006-Interview in Vancouver APPROVED!

Arrived in US- December 14, 2006

January 3,2007- Applied for SSN got within 7 days in the mail.

Congrats!

Reading the Montreal interview experiences make me think back to when I did mine....it's so hard to believe it was only at the end of November last year! Now we're married, and waiting for my GreenCard to arrive in the mail. It's all been less than a year since we were approved for the I-129F.

Anyway...glad to hear your interview was easy as pie! :)

I am moving to Indiana in mid-July.

Just another tip for anyone who may have b/fast at the Bistro by LaTour Centreville...you'll need to ask for more than one orange juice. The containers are smaller than child size. lol I felt like I was drinking from a spoon.

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

super news

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Congrats! We all stress about the interview and are relieved when it's a lot easier than we though. :) But having said that, I'm still stressing about my AOS interview in August! :P

Hey misa, don't stress about that interview. I heard it was pretty easy too. But I understand the reason to feel stressed. The people who married legitimately, who love their spouse, who actually live with their spouse, will always do fine I bet. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.
