I file 2 forms for my parents. Each form in Part5 lists 4 people in my house hold (me, my husband, our daughter + a principal immigrant). The HHS Poverty Guidelines for Affidavit of Support lists the income needed for 4 people is  $32,750

BUT...

I am pregnant, and, as I said, I am filing 2 I-864 forms, so... our household in 2021,  with my parents included, will actually be 6. And number for that is 43,950.

My current annual salary can support up to 5 people (per guidelines) but not 6, AND my 2019 income was less then $32K.  I know USCIS is probably not gonna know that I have additional dependent since that baby only going to be listed on 2022 tax return, but I am getting a bit paranoid here. SO my question is - DO I need to do I-864A form to list my husband as a joint sponsor or just my income is enough?

Do I submit 2019  tax return AND my current pay stubs to show a raise of income?

Your unborn child doesn’t count until he or she is born. If they are born before parents have their interview you will need an updated I864 to show change of household. You submit the 2019 tax return and last 6 month pay stubs. Don’t forget they look at the totality of circumstances and bringing presumably older parents here is very expensive. Have you looked into health care coverage- it’s not uncommon to spend $600-800 per month per parent. You will need to provide that documentation closer to interview. You can use your husband as a household member if he makes enough or find a joint sponsor.

Thank you for you reply.

So, from what I understood I don't have to add my husband as joint sponsor since I make enough for 5 people household.  I still don't understand if they would count both of my parents into my household, since they are not listed on each other's I-864 forms. if they don't, then even with a newborn, I make enough to cover all 5. But if they do, then its better to submit I-864A for my husband. I guess it won't hurt if I do it right now. Then try to add it later.

As to health insurance. I know its very expensive. I've been living in US for 8 years. I was planning to add them to my insurance. I'll go up substantially, but it's still cheaper then buying private insurance.
