Good luck I hope you get it soon, sounds like it's nearly done

Unfortunately mine has been showing 'refused' for just under 2 weeks my interview was the week before yours

Hopefully because your W2 was received on the same day as my interview, they'll be in the same pile as yours

Edit: I thought your last updated date had changed but misread your post.

I hope it's on the move soon!

The fact they both updated today is a good sign!

It's was the way I wrote it but mine didn't get updated today, it got the date updated on the day they received it and that's the last time.

Hopefully though you're right and something will happen

Like I was trying to explain when you first asked, it’s going to depend on when somebody gets back to your case.  You sorta got out of the flow by needing to send additional info. Meanwhile the Hannah’s and Melcs and each new day’s interviewees keep moving through the system and getting the attention/action, but you are set aside. Somebody has to go back and pick up your case now that your document is there. They will,  but it’s a little unpredictable.

I get that, its frustrating its such an opaque process.  I emailed them today, I wasn't expecting anything and I did get the standard response but it made my wife happy that we chased it :) .

I am trying to be Zen about it, there is absolutely nothing I can do to affect it so I'll just have to wait and hopefully be surprised soon.  Its still within the time I had planned to go to the US and I do have my plan B if its very delayed.

Hi! Glad you got yours sorted!

I have had the EXACT same problem today! 221(g) for W2. The officer gave me a sheet to follow to upload (he saw the original 2019 at the interview today). The upload is to the NVC website, where it already is! And had been the whole time! It’s so frustrating! He did not tell me I needed to courier but maybe I should? How did you book that? What did you include in the envelope?

May I also please ask how you are able to check on the status going from refused to approved? Can’t find a link! Thank you so much!

  • 3 weeks later...

My husband had his interview on the 27th. They said my transcript was not done correctly and had to be reuploaded to the NVC website. Nothing was said about sending them via a couriers. We also had to wait on the medical exam as his exam was the same day. It has been over two weeks now and still says refused. We are scared and sick that they are not getting my transcript. We don’t know what to do. Any advice would be great or maybe just it will be alright.

Same thing happened with me. I uploaded the W2 about an hour after my interview on Oct 22 (I was sure that we had uploaded it back in March to the NVC - we had) and overlooked the bottom part of the same sheet that said I had to courier it to them until a few days ago. Really frustrating as the closest courier location is 100 miles away from where I live 🙄  , but got it sent off yesterday and should be en-route tomorrow. Here's hoping it sorts itself out quickly as it is starting to make my wife anxious.

Hey can I ask how long it took for you to get your visa after you resubmitted the paperwork? This just happened to me today so I am trying to gauge how long it may take now

I resubmitted the paperwork on October 31 and received the visa in the post on the November 14 (issued by the embassy 2 days prior via the visa check website). However, this also included a delay as I needed to confirm certain parts of the documentation with the agent through email.

Hope you get it sorted and be with your spouse soon!

Thanks! and did your case say refused until it all got reviewed?

I uploaded my documents to the CEAC 48hrs ago and it just says Submitted, not Accepted

I couriered the original to them and it arrived yesterday but nothing has changed on my case at all

still just says refused and no acknowledgement of documents, even the uploads

I'm telling myself this is normal?

Yeah, mine stayed on Refused until it changed to Issued on November 12th. It never changed to Accepted for me.
