And Pakistan is a country with poor records and document control.  It has a weak passport and very few countries offer Pakistani passport holders entry without a visa or even allow visa on arrival.

yea green passport is a big factor but what we can do except wait but let's see

Unless you were in the US as student or other long term visa, the USCIS phase has more to do with the petitioner not the beneficiary.   That's why I asked about her citizenship acquisition.   Race and religion aren't looked at by USCIS.  If she is naturalized then the background checks on her will take longer.

If the processing time is outside the norms, then based on your numerous posts, she can do an inquiry.

Take two minutes and fill out your profile and timeline and people don't have to do the research on you to answer your questions intelligently.

Yes documentation - Based on the sheet I quoted SIngapore has the 2nd best passport, Malaysia the 14th, UAE the 20th.  What makes them more secure in the eyes of the world?

ONTP inquiry is the only way to go.  File it once and wait.  Calls really do little. She can also contact the Ombudsman (and her congressional delegation if it ONTP).

Without knowing your country .. it’s not due to the Muslim religion... it’s due to the fact that many Muslim countries are very lax in their documents (easily to obtain fraudulent docs), many Muslims have the same names (making background checks difficult) and history of using said fraudulent documents to commit terrorist acts...

So partly your governments fault and partly your fellow countryman fault..

Huge generalisation regarding terrorist attacks.... 🙄

Back to the point in hand- some countries require more vetting due to high risk of fraud and also poor record keeping as mentioned numerous times.

it's been 10 months and still no approval we submit 3 inquiries we called them 4 time I just don't understand people from Europe they got approvals in 2 months and people from Muslim countries they are waiting since many months and years why ?

I'm from the UK and it took two years for me. My friend is UK and it took him 13 months (we had other delays). 10 months doesn't seem unusual for a Spouse Visa.

To clarify, two years from petition to moving. However, it took ours about 8 months to move to the NVC.

My husband is from Morocco. That's not only a Muslim country but one of the hardest embassies to get past. You've got to consider we are in the midst of a pandemic. You can't expect processing times to fall within the norm. Stay calm and just stay as informed as you can on processing times for your embassy. It will all work out in the end. Good Luck !

It all has to do with the ease of obtaining fraudulent documents 🤷🏻‍♀️ https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/presidential-proclamation-enhancing-vetting-capabilities-processes-detecting-attempted-entry-united-states-terrorists-public-safety-threats/

And not all of those countries are Muslim countries. I don't think it's fair to say that their names add to risk of terrorism and fraud. Fair enough if their systems itself are flawed or corrupt but religions do not play a part in this.

Keep hopeful OP. It would help immensely if you filled out your timetable so you can see how others that are similar to your situation are doing and vice versa. I've had people file after me that have already been approved etc. It's not always fair but with each passing day, it's a day closer to your loved one.🤞
