I called uscis today and found out that my package was rejected, asked what was the reason the agent said she did not have the exact answer to what was the reason it only says other.

so I will be waiting for the mail to see what I did wrong oh my God I’m so mad :(

I’m pretty sure that everything was in order, the only thing that I can think of is they received my form earlier than the 90 day period or because I dated the form before that period.

any idea to why would they reject an application?

Most common reasons I've seen:

Received prior to the 90 day window

Incorrect filing fee +biometrics

unsigned pages

incorrectly signed pages (signed by wrong person)

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Many people literally count 90 days and try to time it to the day, but often are off by a day or two.  Or fees are off (I don't remember if it's supposed to be 1 check for the total or separate checks for petition and biometrics).

Incorrect fees, missing signature or Too early, in your case my best guess is you or your spouse missed signed, Seems like you are really excited, so missing a signature is very much predictable

I did not include a cover letter could that be the reason or may be lack of evidence at this stage ???

because I’m pretty sure that there is no flaws in my application, I mean filled it correctly and signed it where it needs to be signed.

Are they gonna send me back the whole package or just a letter?

thank you

They usually send the whole application back, cover letter won’t impact, wait for the mail you will find out soon. Ik it’s frustrating but you will be good. Better luck Next time

Hey I see that you said your package was delivered to USCIS on July 13th. What date does your green card expire?

Earliest receive date would have been 7/11/2020..........You're OK there........I think the problem is missed signature or signing in the wrong area......but no way to know until you get the package back.
