If it’s completely denied and reached the end of that road it will say that it’s being returned to USCIS. It doesn’t appear to be the case with yours. I think it’s still in “regular” AP.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

The letter would come in the mail, but you can call USCIS and ask for more information. I wish you the very best of luck.

Thanks a lot

All cases that once said "Administrative Processing" turned to "refused" on CEAC.  I would not be concerned until the status changes to "returned to NVC"

Send an inquiry to the Embassy to confirm the status of your petition.

Alright thank you! I’ll wait and see if the status changes.

If the case is returned to USCIS you may have the ability to have the case reaffirmed by USCIS instead of starting all over.

Then how long it’s gonna take?

Once USCIS gets the petition back the will review it and issue a NOID.  You have 30 days to respond and then they can take as long as needed to review.  If they reaffirm it gets sent back to the NVC for you to update the sponsorship documents and then is scheduled to the consulate.

Filing  a new petition isn't a good idea unless you know the reason that the first one was denied.  Plus a waste of the filing fees.

This. I was always under the impression that a denial would say "denied", not "refused". Refused was the new wording for AP.

Visas are issued or refused.

"Denied" is just another way of saying "refused" here. There is no meaningful difference between the words.

CEAC will never say denied.

As stated above at an interview your visa is either approved or refused.  It can be a soft refusal for documents needed or Administrative Processesing or a hard refusal in which they return the petition for recommendation of revocation.  Its uscis who will make the final decision to deny.
