On DS-230,

1) Line 14 asks for Name of Spouse and address and occupation and date of marriage...

Obviously since I'm doing a K1, I'm not married... so do I leave it blank or do I enter my fiance's info and put N/A as date of marriage.....

2) Line 25 asks for all previous visits to or residence in the USA.. they give you three spaces to enter this info.. meaning three trips.. I've got like 12 trips (each about a week over two years..)

How do I enter this then?

since you are not married yet just put NONE where they want the name and leave the other stuff blank.

for the trips to the states just mention every trip. in know that there is not really enough space. for that, use an additional sheet and write everything on it, make sure you sign and date it and name the sheet accordingly so they know to what form it belongs.

same counts for the ds156 just write none in there

beckypua,

Not so easy - DS-230-I is used for the K visas. Should be, anyway, although there may be a consulate or two that doesn't.

Some consulates use DS-230-II as well.

The DS-230 Form I got from Montreal is really grainy and messy looking...

Is it Okay if I fill out the form online and print and send it in

Yes, I found the exact version.

Don't see why not!

Liz, for my question 25 I added a statement which basically said "I've been to the US lots, lots, lots of times since childhood and never had a visa under the Canada/US visa waiver program". I figure if they really want to know about each and every time, they can ask at the interview.

Nini - Vancouver BC, Canada (she's the one who does the forum thing)

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

Getting our sanity tested by bureaucracy since 2007.

Here we go again...

Removal of conditions @ VSC

9/4/2010 - sent!

9/14/2010 - NOA

ok, so I filled out DS-230 PART 1 online and printed and signed even though they gave me a copy (crappy one though)

only difference is, in the top left corner of the form, there's a box that says "K" on the form that they gave me but my online version is just blank (no K)...

I'm assuming I shouldn't write K, right?

not sure if it's one of those 'don't write in this box' things..

but I want them to know it's a K visa!

think I'm giving myself a conniption
