I don’t know how correct it is, but I asked an immigration lawyer a similar question. He said you can go but come back to US at the time of interview. Basically he said don’t be in Pakistan when your wife attends the interview, since they expect you to be present there then. And if you’re present they ask much tougher questions and inquire more.

Maybe someone can give more insight.

Even if i m in Pakistan but i dont go to the interview with him? Still ? Like for example if i m in Pakistan but i dont go to Islamabad with him . Still ?

and i heard its helps the case if petitioner accompany beneficiary in the interview.. it helps them to believe that the relationship is bonafide..

The lawyer made it seem like it’s not a good idea to be in the country, because they ask you during time of interview sometimes, where is your spouse? You can’t lie, and if you say Pakistan they say why aren’t they in US? and why didn’t they come to interview.
you can go but just come back before interview

you are with your husband.. where you suppose to be.. you don’t work thats your personal choice .. you have joint sponsors.. thats enough to be eligible for your spouse to get visa ..

i think it would help your case.. they could see how much you guys want to be with each other..

they might ask him how many times did she visit you.. and he says she is here actually visiting me.. so ofcourse it is positive...

I just saw a video by a lawyer on youtube, who also said its not a good idea for the spouse to attend the interview. If spouse attends, they do a stokes interview, in which sometimes they separate you and ask you same questions to match the answers. They go a bit strict then. He didn't say anything about being in the country, so I guess that might be okay, but research some on your own, maybe you find more info.
I personally wouldn't attend it.

i would like to show this to the attorney i know..

but as much i have understanding, i dont think they could interview like this .. its a visa interview of a foreign spouse .. they cant just all of sudden start interview of a petitioner too .. its not uscis stage interview after getting married in US.. where they  “officially” do interview both husband n wife..

i wish some expert can shed some light here..

thank you!
