If he was DQ'ed October 28th, then there is still some time. Embassies are conducting interviews for people DQ'ed from March-April at the moment. We don't have a lot of data points to go by currently but you could be waiting for at least a few more months (most like 5-6 months or longer). I would suggest checking to see if you are eligible for an expedited request, that will help move things along. And expediting your petition will not affect your process time if you are rejected. 

I have considered for an expedited request but not sure if I will be eligible. I am working with a lawyer but they haven't been really that helpful. Thanks for the info!!

I agree. I’ve heard the same. INSHAALLAH this is all correct. It’s been a long road and soon all of our patience will reunite us. I’m hoping April DQ starts here and continues to progress to May and so on.

It will Inn Shaa Allah . We have spent these 7 8 months with the embassy closed,  now Alhamdulilah its open its processing cases just within few weeks we all will hear good news Inn Shaa Allah. Keep praying ☺️❤️

And talking about May dq. Ofcrouse they havee to clear out may dq too !! Watch you’ll hear good news next month 😘 this month is April Inn Shaa Allah and next is May Inn Shaa Allah

Yes IR1 are given priority compare to other categories that doesn't mean ir1/cr1 cases are taken care in a row one person might have gotten dq in June and still waiting while another gets dq in August and has visa in hand the reason behind that is because if your visa case is simple and clear they'll issue your visa but if they see red flags they are going to investigate and USCIS NVC EMBASSY all these people are gonna investigate you one by one for example my sisters husband was approved by USCIS in July of 2019 and he's still stuck in Pakistan while my wife was approved by uscis in October of 2019 and got DQ in February of 2020 And got interview letter 20 days after her DQ n 10 days after that on March 2nd she had her interview and on 23 of March 2020 she entered United States the reason behind why my wife process was smooth and fast because I had applied for k1 for her previously so all these agencies had already done her background check plus we have a two year old son together the reason I'm telling you guys my story EMBASSY isn't slow neither did they forget you guys they are just issuing visas to who they know are good to go and investigating whoever they want to just be patient inshallah everything will be smooth for everyone

Another note I'd like to add after we got DQ on Feb 5 i would try to calculate when we might have interview and since things were normal back in Feb we had this page about people waiting for interview letter that got DQ in feb well about 2 weeks after DQ I got interview letter even though there were people still waiting for interview letter from January and usually interview dates are given a month ahead but we were only given 10 days ahead so basically from getting DQ on 5 Feb my wife had visa in hand on 5th of March No expedite

Today the Islamabad Embassy should have begun with April dq .. Its Mondayy November 9th! On october 14 they were on March 27 already😭

Relax... someone i heared of March 27 the DQs already have been done... it's one or two cases of end of March... inshallah in this week they will proceed for next month
