I'm scared hope it doesn't change the dq date or delay interview letter

It won’t. Just make sure to upload under “additional documents” tab. But if you want, you can always just wait until you receive your letter. It’s the same thing if you upload now or later.

Hi Friends,

My Mom was DQ'd March 2021but i still have not received her interview letter, is this normal? do i need to call them? please help

Thanks,

Yes this is very normal. It will be a while maybe few months before she gets her interview letter. People DQ’d in 2020 are still waiting for their letters right now. It will probably be a year before she gets hers. There is a very huge backlog at the embassy because it was closed for 6 months last year due to covid and right now they are working with very little staff. So you have to wait a long time before you hear anything.

Does anyone know if you have to pay the $220 green card fee at the embassy on the day of the interview?

@zellahy

No you don't have to pay on day of interview. The applicant will receive instructions on how to make the payment after visa approval but you'll have to do it online.

Thanks girl! Do you happen to have a realistic list of documents that we need to take to the interview? There’s so many versions and I believe people are taking extra stuff with them just to be safe and I can’t produce some of those items. I just have the required necessary stuff. So I was wondering if you have a realistic list that I can go off of and start preparing the documents?
