IR1/CR1 Category.

DQed till 16th-17th June, 2020 have received their ILs in February and their interviews have been done already in last month.

DQed of June 17th and onwards are waiting for their turn now. Embassy haven't scheduled any IR1/CR1 case is last month except few expedited cases. They Scheduled other IVs in March.

Lets see if they send or not ILs this month to IR1/CR1 category.

ok, actually i am also waiting since long. DQed 14sep2020 (F2A) and still waiting without knowing when they will start.

Any idea why they have stopped using IL? Is there COVID lock down?

Hi,

my case is in AP from July-18. We submitted our medicals for the third time on 24-Mar-21. On 16-April-21, our status was changed from refused to AP. Anyone having an idea on how long it would take for embassy to issue visa as this is the general trend (Refused -> AP -> Issued).

TIA

There’s a COVID lockdown in Pakistan right now so I’m assuming that’s what’s causing the delay..

Does anyone know when there was no ban before Covid how did they use to schedule CR1/IR1? Like how many DQs they used to interview each month?

They would send interviews in the middle of each month covering about 20-30 days of DQ’s.. they have already interviewed up to June 16th DQ’s.. they will begin from June 17..

I've seen a few people with June 17 and June 18 DQ say that their interviews were scheduled for end of May.

We’re they expedited? That’s good news tho.. the guy who spoke on the phone when I called the embassy, said they’re “partially” operational so I guess that means they’re not doing a lot of interviews but they’re still doing some.. my assumption is that it’s because of the smart lockdown happening in Pakistan right now.. I’m in Lahore at the moment with my husband so yeah it’s frustrating in every way possible..🙄

No. They're not expedited. I can understand the frustration. Going to Pakistan soon to be with my husband because of the uncertainty of this situation. Inn-Sha-Allah a whole lot more interviews get scheduled in the next month

Insha’Allah! Staying hopeful! GoodLuck with your trip! Make sure to take some Pepto Bismol, Imodium, and some probiotics pills! Maybe some Tylenol too! Food and water here is not sitting well with my stomach and I’m miserable!😭😭

Was that before Covid?

And now they have scheduled till June 18th so most likely they will send out letters next month from June 19th.

There is no lockdown and Embassy is still working.
I got my interview letter on Tuesday April 20th. My DQ date is June 18th, 2020.

As the ban is lifted from many other IV categories, They are working on them too. They haven't sent any IR1/CR1 letters last month and very few this month. They are catching up with other IV categories.

Even though they scheduled less IR1/CR1 this time, but the dates of interview are in the end of May. Which explain that they have been working on other categories as well.

I know a family personally, they received interview letter last month for the VISA class IR5. Their interview has been done and visa has been approved yesterday.

I know its already a long wait and is not easy. But have faith in Allah and do not loose hope. He has the best of plans for you.

They are not allowed to pass on the information about interviews at all. They can only tell you that is embassy open or not.. Rest they can not tell you anything unless you case is at the embassy. This rule is for all the embassies in the world.
