I got the RFIE but not for the I-944 like I expected... it was for my 2019 tax transcripts. Which is actually really annoying because I sent my transcripts- and so now I’m a little confused! Need to read the letter again and then look at my 2019 transcript and see if something is missing.

But interesting that I didn’t send the I-944 and they haven’t asked for it. Those waiting for the RFIE maybe you won’t ever get it :) . No biometrics tho...

What was it?

Neither, actually. It was my reciept number for the 765. I got two letters for it, one for the activiation code (I got an IOE number for it) and then the receipt number.

It was just me completely not thinking. Too bad, I almost got a little bit excited :)

Did you provide the correct transcript? I know that there's a couple of different options when you download them from the website. Maybe that's it?

At least it's not for anything that will be difficult to get and this means that they have at least looked at your application :)

Well I sent them the copy my CPA gave me so I guess it must not be the type they are looking for. I can’t sign up for the IRS online service because my only credit card in the US is Amex and it isn’t a suitable type of account to use for ID verification... so I am going to just send them my whole 2019 tax return package. From what I have read this is acceptable (although they prefer transcripts).

I will be sending that today by fedex!

Hi all,

I am planning to submit my medical I693 RFE tomorrow along with I944 form. Is anyone who has submitted a medical or other RFE lately? What is the process after submitting? Do you get a response like "Yes we received it and everything you sent satisfy our request"? If so, how long it took to get an answer from USCIS.

I am worried to see if the documents that I will submit are ok for them and obviously I am worried if they receive it and if my case is back on normal track!!!

I have heard people chatted with Emma as to make sure their documents have been received.

Thanks in advance.

What is your RFE for? USCIS usually don't send RFEs for medical (they send a courtesy letter, which is not a RFE) unless the interview is waived

If your RFE is for your I-944, just send the I-944.

If you received a courtesy letter reminding you of the medical, save the medical for the interview. If you receive an interview letter right after, there's a high chance your medical won't make it to your field office in time for the interview, which will cause more delays...

I sent a name change court order to the NBC and never received a confirmation.

I know it sounds weird but the RFIE asks to send them NOW medical and I944. I am employment based and they tend to waive interviews for us. But either way I have to respond to RFIE.

Hi guys, do you happen to know whether joint sponsors usually need to attend a biometrics appointment? I just want to make sure to let my joint sponsor know :)

As written on my wife’s AOS biometrics notice:

“Do not bring additional individuals or family members with you to your appointment. Only interpreters, attorneys or those providing needed assistance to you will be permitted to accompany you, and will be required to wear a face covering.”

Sounds like a social distancing measure to cut down on the number of individuals occupying a building at once.
