How much time it going to take to get the marriage certificate? For me in California, it took us exact 11 days to get the certificate in mailbox since they were not doing to the in person collection in July. If it's going to be same for you, wait till you get married and on the marriage day ask credit score companies to send you letter in your name. I'm not exactly sure how that work since i already have SSN and i had score/report with me.

When we picked up the license they told me we will receive the certificate the same day as soon as we hand in the license - which is really nice!

That's true. My other name is mentioned and it will be the same name on my passport/ Aussie bank account etc so it should be fine!

That's great. I think in that case just get the letter today in your current name no need to delay your application for this.

If anyone sees any news about the I944 let us know 😔 I sent my AOS without the I944 on August 3rd and they received it on August 7th. I wonder what will happen now...

Ours arrived on Aug 7th too! Looks like there's a chance our checks are cashed next week based on some other people's timelines.

Hi guys! I am just joining, I send in my package last week, it arrived on Monday, the 10th of August. So far I haven’t received an email. I did send in the I 944 because it took me a while to get all evidence, and I could’ve send in my package weeks ago, if I had known I wouldn’t need the i944. Now the waiting starts and I am seriously a bit worried that it might take forever. I’m living in Alexandria, Virginia now. Good luck to everyone 🍀

I did because i already prepared my package including I-944 before court order came out and i was OK in sending the I-944 even though USCIS said after July 29th its not required.

Good call. I had mine ready too but decided not to send it because the new instructions said not to. Now I regret not doing that. I hope they cash my check next week and not just reject the whole application.
