I am going to send my RFE for the I-944 as soon as I can so they just can just move along with it or without its legitimacy.

My wife has her 18 year old son living in the Czech Republic with his grandmother going to school there. Does anyone know if he would be considered a 'member of the household' for the I-944? It is not clear to me. He does not live with us, is living abroad and will not migrate here in the USA.

I don't believe anything they say but:

In a statement to CBS News, Dan Hetlage, a spokesperson for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), said the agency's officers on Monday stopped applying the 2019 public charge rules to pending and future applications. "USCIS will fully comply with the decision and issue additional forthcoming guidance while the agency reviews the decision," Hetlage said.

Hi! I have a doubt. Is the credit report / score only required for the beneficiary? Or is it necessary to also include the US citizen's credit report on the I-944?

Do any of you also have Tufts as health insurance? How did you go about obtaining the "documentation for the amount of the deductible or premium" and "when the policy ends and must be renewed"? ? I see that it is required in the I-944 guide, but the employer told my husband that there is no renewal date as it is applied automatically every year, and as for the deductible or premium they were of no help.

😕 .

Hi all- my case has just been updated today to say Request For Initial Evidence has been requested. I didn’t send I-944 so I assume it is for that. Still no biometrics.

Super annoying that the notice was sent yesterday and the I-944 has just been blocked again! I am going to send the form because I already completed it when I initially started compiling our AOS packet, but I’m not going to break my back over it.

RE: RFE-I944

Just wondering how to fill this up and/or answer coz just like everybody else here, I don't want anymore delays :( So I recently signed up for health insurance but when I called the Customer Service they said they aren't like Healthcare insurance but under Affordable Act [still confuse as of now with terminologies]. He said there's no annual deductible, annual premium or premium tax credit on it.

So I guess my questions are as follows:

1. How are we going to answer question #15 and the A,B,C or perhaps D too

2. The Welcome Pack for this coverage hasn't arrived yet but coverage has already stated as stated on the attached file. Is there a way that we can submit this as proof that we got something that'll cover me for emergency stuff instead of waiting for the actual Welcome Pack that might take another week or two to arrive despite of the expedite request from our part? Capture.thumb.PNG.ff959239bfbd02e47f5e4db7e6a59648.PNG

Unfortunately what you signed up for is unlikely to count as "insurance" for USCIS 944 purposes.

Christian Healthcare Ministries is not a health insurance company. Rather, we are a group of hundreds of thousands of Christians across the United States and around the world who share each other’s burdens in the area of healthcare costs. We also pray for and encourage one another.

The type of insurance coverage USCIS is looking for is what counts for federal purposes, e.g. insurance from a health insurance company that you get from an employer, or from a marketplace (healthcare.gov)

So for this question my answer would be "No" you do not have health insurance.

You can either submit the 944 without it, or register for insurance and submit according to:

Quote

Indicate whether you have enrolled or soon will enroll in health insurance but your insurance coverage has not started yet. If you answer “Yes,” provide a letter or other evidence from the insurance company showing that you have enrolled in or have a future enrollment date for a health insurance plan. The letter or other evidence must include the terms, the type of coverage, that you are the individual covered, and the date when the coverage begins.

or wait and see the outcome of the current court decision and/or the election and make your decision based on that.

Hello August AOS Filers,

Update:

My wife completed her biometrics appointment last Friday for I-765! Still waiting for I-485 biometrics for her. We got a RFE on I-485 for not submitting I-944 form. The Injunction of the Inadmissibility on Public Charge Grounds Final Rule has us all confused up (long story) and I wish we would have submitted it. We got that taking care of last month, so hopefully the biometrics appointment will come before the end of the year.
