I'm  thinking August  2020 filers will net more first time acceptance since the I-944 is on hold, less to trip you up with, but there's still plenty ways they can reject you. Getting your case numbers quickly is a good thing.

So it looks like a week until they process it. Ah, man. We are sending ours out on the 28th due to wedding and I just hope they cash it before the new fees and I have no RFIE! Seems like so many little silly ways I can stuff up between myself and my K2 AOS'ing.

Hope so. I'll be completing 1 week today since USCIS dropbox received my package.

Is is true that I-944 will be required again?

I submited my  AOS petition this saturday and as of yesterday it was delivered to UCSIS offices, but it may take more than a week before they actually review it and  notify me.

I am afraid to receive an RFE requesting the I-944. Any one else with on the same situation?

I just completed most of my forms today and was hoping to post it out on Friday, without the I-944. I really hoping I wouldn't need to complete the I-944 so I would be interested in knowing what this means now that it seems that the injunction is narrowed.

I hope you won't get an RFE for the I-944 given that the guidance on the USCIS website when you applied asked applicants not to include it. Hoping more clarification comes soon :(

What a mess a big mess! I would wait before I submitted my packet until we find out what this means. It looks like only 3 states are exempt!

If the I-944 is missing they won't send a RFE they will reject and return the whole packet your fees will be returned too. Then you'll have to resubmit again.  At least that is what they did in prior months.

I'm not a lawyer but my interpretation is that USCIS changed their instructions saying that any application with postal date after Jul 29 wouldn't require the I-944 form. They can't just undo this rule retroactively and penalize people who followed their own directions for the past 2 weeks. So I'm assuming they will have to post a new rule saying something like: any application with postage date after Aug 12 (or 13, or 14...) will need to have the I-944 form.

Either way, it's a total mess.... Let's stay positive people. And for people who were about to send the application, I would hold off a little bit, just to have more clarity of how USCIS will react to that.

I agree that would be the most logical and fair thing to do, but then again...............you never know USCIS as it stands now is mandated to do the bidding of the current administration so expect anything!

I saw this last night and had a cry. I am an anxious person so I am kicking myself now that I didn't start this two weeks ago. Two AOS applications are really getting to me and I just feel like I am making no progress.

On this topic I do have a question. With the credit report.. I want to get the no credit report now but should I be doing that in my name I entered on that is still my current or should I wait and apply in my married name? Does it even matter? My bank account is in my current name but I am just not sure which way to go!
