The times vary because biometric appointments are processed by local offices Some have yet to re-open at all,  most are still dealing with re-scheduling canceled appointments from the COVID shut down, and there are reports that many have had their operational capacity seriously reduced as well, so unless there is a drastic change, the wait is almost surely on the order of months, not weeks. You will be free to focus on supporting your spouse! I hope the procedure goes well.

If it helps, as far as timing goes, not having the notifications won't delay you at all. Assuming your app is received and in order the next action you'll need to take is getting your biometrics done, and that appointment is scheduled for you and a notice will come in the mail (are things being delivered to you, or to your attorney?), there isn't any online update for it.

 

And in the rare case that your app was rejected there's nothing you can really do other than wait for it to come back to you / your attorney to figure out what went wrong. Probably a low percent chance that happens with an attorney involved! 

I really hope the EAD card comes without biometrics!

They charged my card!!! It looks like they did on the 23rd and it posted today. I feel so relieved!!!

Ah, fantastic!! 

 

Looks like the 23rd was a $ processing day (someone in the September thread reported one as well), so anyone with outstanding cashier's checks and a submission date around late August / early Sept could hear about those next week.

I know that you didn’t ask me, but we sent money order because my dad loaned the money up front and it was just easier. We don’t have personal checks at the moment and a lot of our banks are closed for that sort of thing

Yeah, it looks like it was. I saw another person who got theirs cashed yesterday too so I guess they did a bunch of them that day.

I'm not sure "she" would have anything yet, our notices weren't generated for a while post-payment according to the printed date, wouldn't necessarily take it as a bad sign. A few weeks ago someone posted a cashiers check that took a few days after other checks/cards were processed from what looked like the same "batch" (other dates were all the same), so I think there's a good chance it'll come soon!

What was the edition date on your 765? If it wasn't 08/25/20 edition that could also explain the delay. (They switched the forms they accepted on 8/25, so if you sent an old one, they may be issuing a rejection notice for the 765 and processing the rest of the application).

 

You should still be able to re-file the 765 without the fee if that happens, assuming the other apps are accepted.

It’s probably the old version, but I checked dates that they weren’t going to be expired before I sent itIt’s probably the old version,
