Shouldn’t be for you if you did the evaluations and have your credit reports. But just have it ready and if they need that “missing information” just send it to them. I’m sure they will send rfie or rfe in a later date if they decide they need those documents for your specific case

I was just looking at the form and it doesn't seem too bad. So yeah, I will just wait and see what happens and if we get an RFE.

My wife was having one heck of a time trying to a get a credit report. She had them send three different letters, each time trying to correct the first spelling error on her extremely common first name, and all three letters were wrong. I don’t even know what to do. This was through transunion.

also, my wife still needs health insurance and we never got around to getting her some after our marriage. How do I get her health insurance now? Isn’t open enrollment not until November 1st? What if they send the RFE before that? Are we in big trouble here?

Generally credit companies will allow you to fax them your request on wanting a copy or a letter indicating they have no record or your wife. If you fax the details you should be fine when it comes to spelling.

I believe you can enroll in health insurance whenever assuming you don’t have an employer that provides you with subsidized insurance. For example, my enrollment is November 1st for my husband company  however since my husband and I got married in August we have one month to add our spouse to your plan. It’s considered a qualified event. So I was added in September and my insurance is effective October. If you are not getting insurance through an employer you can go on any insurance website and buy it.

We got married last year :(

So when you complete the i-944. Just check the box Where it says you plan to enroll in health insurance and just provide evidence or the enrollment dates. It’s nothing major. Also I doubt you would get an Rfe this quickly. Most likely during the time when your enrollment starts if not after

I don’t really have evidence, I’d just be buying her her own health insurance. I don’t get health insurance through an employer and can’t add her to my plan, so do you know what kind of evidence I could provide for that?

Do you guys think I need to get more recent letters for my credit score or would ones from last month suffice?

In the instructions it says within the last 12 months so you're good!

Saw this in a fb group, looks promising

I was just about to post the same thing as I read it directly on the USCIS website.

Does it mean we should wait for an actual RFE or any request from them directly or just send it even if they haven't asked anything yet?

From my understanding, it means that they will request what is missing and that I should wait, but I am double checking with everyone.

I would wait for an rfe

I am waiting for the RFE but making sure I have all of the documents so I am ready to go. Quicker I get it done the better.
Promising is not the word I would use though haha. It is depressing!

You didn't sent I-944 with your package? I thought you were planning to send it.

Oh God,

I just got a RFIE and now this.

RFIE is for:

 - "long-format" birth certificate. I already sent that along with its translation. So I guess they lost it? The BC that I have is the legal complete one, they should take it. Not sure what's going on here.
 - Supporting Evidence from joint sponsor. We submitted IRS transcripts, but the sponsor filed jointly and we're only using his income (No I-864A), so they want his supporting documents. He can provide those (I guess W-2s + transcripts should be enough?), but now I am afraid the income amounts we used to file I-864 are not accurate, should we send a new I-864 with the current income amount corrected? The RFIE only asks for the supporting evidence (or a new I-864 in case of switching sponsor).

BC: Yeah, i think USCIS is messing up with this one. Just send them again and write a cover letter explaining. You can also attach Documents Reciprocity  (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html) telling them you are following whatever asked on this page for BC.

I-864: "but the sponsor filed jointly and we're only using his income (No I-864A)": I think you still have to submit I-864A since sponsor filed taxes together. If there was any calculation mistake or something, better to file fresh I-864/864A.
