Also, are courier packages treated slower than Usps?  Does it make a difference once received

Pre-COVID it seemed like using USPS and paying by check was the fastest path to payment processing, with the couriers + credit cards taking a few days longer. But COVID seems to have changed that, and based on how many of us got payments processed on a Friday I wouldn't be surprised if they're processing payments in longer "batches" now instead of more regularly. I was hoping for a bunch of payment posts to come in over this weekend, but doesn't look like it. Maybe next week!

If it helps ease the anxiety a bit, based on the information reported here, the absolute fastest time for receipt to payment processed in August was 8 calendar days, but the average for the entire month of August was 13 days. Counting only applications received after August 15th the average was 16 days. So things were starting to get slower and maybe are still getting slower still (texts have seemingly stopped, they usually arrived within about 4 days of payment processing).

So based on the numbers, completely normal for you not to have heard a peep yet. And I wouldn't be discouraged if you don't hear before this weekend, either!

I don't think so. Once a package locker room (either by USPS or Courier) rest should be same for everyone.

Ohk. Yeah, keep an eye on your bank account for check transaction. Sometimes bank keep it as pending and you won't get any alert.

Do you have to do anything when it’s pending or it just clears after a period of time but it’s still good? Probably a dumb question but in another country you never know lol

Banks usually clear check in 1-2 days but you will atleast get to see that as a pending transaction in your online account details. You might not get bank alert until they clear it.

In my case, I was able to see my I-485 check cashed in my bank account on Sep 1st. And then, when I saw the scanned check online, I could notice that the date posted on the back of the check was Aug 26th. So the check-clearing process took around 5 days @Cilllah

For me they USCIS processed check as ACH so i was not able to see the scanned copy of the check. But i did called USCIS later next day and was able to get the receipt number from them.

My husband and I filed the I-130 and I-485 concurrently. The I-130 check was processed as ACH, and the I-485 check was processed the way handwritten checks are normally cashed 😂

Just a small update from me. I received the three texts on my phone with my three case numbers. I was surprised to receive them on a Sunday night! Haven’t received my Noa1 yet but hopefully it’ll come soon. Good luck to others waiting :)
