That's the logic I eventually settled on, but to my mind putting "zero" there isn't the clearest option, -- I wanted to put N/A to avoid a double count, per the form's global instructions, but the field doesn't allow entry of anything but a number and the Javascript disable "trick" didn't work for that field. Something like "Mark N/A to avoid a double count" and allowing the field to be writable would have been a lot clearer to me!

We need to understand that the form isn't made just for people sponsoring their spouses. If someone is sponsoring their parents for example, and this person is married, the answer to question 3 will be 1. Which is not our case.

All USCIS forms are straight forward, we can't overthink. So if it says: Persons NOT being sponsored above question 3, why would you count your wife there if you are in fact sponsoring her.

Again, don't overthink.

Agree to disagree 😁

To me, that wording is not at all the clearest way to achieve the objective of using one form for multiple adjustment scenarios, and I’ve seen enough people receive RFEs for household size in particular (another one just posted a day or two ago) that I personally think it could use some clarification. I’m still not even confident that zero is the “correct” response vs n/a. And given that the USCIS has dinged people for not using n/a correctly, it was something I chose to spend time thinking about. Hopefully it was all wasted time in the end but I’d rather over think than under think this!

Nope. Feel like I should be getting the appt letter in the mail sometime soon.

NBC orders the bio-metrics (If required) to local ASC as soon as they send your NOA1. Then it depends on your ASC location and how busy they are.

I just finished my bio today. Literately 2 employees and 1 security at the ASC. And I was the only applicant present.

Feels like they are limiting the number of appointments due to covid. Oh yeah, there is also severe air quality issue today where I live.

My filing date was Aug 5th

Thanks for the info. We live in Truckee, so I’m wondering if our local office will be Sac also or Reno. (My guess is Reno). The smoke is so bad today, stay safe😷
