One interesting feature of this site is it shows statistics from user timelines sorted by office location. This is the data for the last 6 months (you can change the time period up at the top) -- https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php?history=180

When looking at the numbers it's a good idea to remember that for some offices the sample size over the past few months is very small, and COVID / furloughs will continue to impact these numbers, but it can be helpful to get a general idea of the wait.

For SF, it looks like no one has reported in the last 3 months, and 2 people had an average of 60 days in the past 6 months. The good news is they appear to go from biometrics to interview faster than other offices, so the total time isn't as bad. Hopefully yours comes sooner but I wouldn't worry if it takes a while, they may be backed up there.

Mine was received Aug 15th Sunday. And nothing yet, no email or text... Did you call to find out that they were sent Sept.3 or did you receive an email/text?

Thanks!

Yes!! I called this morning and she was able to look me up using my name/phone number/address! She gave me my receipt #. I did not receive a text or an email of any sorts. I imagine the letters are the main part anyway!

In my case they sent the entire packet back to me-the 485 and 765 including the supporting documents. My circumstances was a bit different; I included the wrong fee amount, and there was also a blanket blurb statement of being "unable to establish a priority date" , that statement didn't  clarify what else was wrong with the packet. I later figured out I was missing 3 pages from the 485  (printer rand out of paper and I totally missed it!)  I also updated all forms to the current version, called customer service to verify I had the correct fee and sent my whole packet back-it was accepted 8/27.  I really hope that they don't reject your packet based on an out of date form, if they do, you will get all of your documents.

I spoke with some other people and if everything but the I-765 gets accepted, they will most likely only send the I-765 back and accept the rest since it is a non-mandatory form. Yours is a bit different since it affected the I-485. You never know though and maybe they will be nice since it is post marked on the same date. We will see!
