I would like to know which office process the AOS, EAD and AP?  All my receipt numbers starts with MSC.

NBC processes the EAD/AP and your local field office will handle the I-485 interview.

Anything can happen with immigration procedures with USCIS. There is not black or white, but a grayscale: In my case, my husband and I filed concurrently I-130 and I-485, and included two checks. We did include the I-944 because we didn’t know that we didn’t have to include it. Anyway, USCIS received the package on August 1st. The check for the I-130 was cashed out on August 28th, but the check for the I-485 was not (and haven’t been cashed out yet). I chatted with them yesterday through Emma (Live Agent), because we thought they had rejected the I-485, but fortunately, a USCIS agent gave me the receipt numbers for both I-130 and I-485 and told me that they are experiencing delays (they accepted the I-485 on Aug 26th!), and for that reason, they hadn’t cashed the check for the I-485. Finally, they told me that we should receive the NOAs by the end of this week. And well, waiting also for the money to be withdrawn from the bank account for the I-485.

USCIS cashed the I-485 check today at 3:00 pm EST. Now, both checks (I-130 & I-485) have been cashed out. The former was cashed 28 days after filing, and the latter, 32 days after filing. So yes, USCIS can cash checks on different days. Cashing a check first, and the other one later, doesn't necessarily mean a rejection for one of the forms being filed.

Hi

I am new to this forum. I have concurrently filed my i485 as well as my I-130 along with the optional applications of I-131 and i-765.

My AOS package was delivered Aug 20th.

i have not seen my cash checked as of yet nor have I received any text messages or physical notices indicating receipt of my application .

Has anyone started receiving or seeing action on their side for those have applied around the time period I have?

Welcome!

There has been at least one application in that time frame (delivered 19th) that has been processed and the sender has received texts, so it could come any day. However we also filed 130/485, package delivered on the 19th, and haven't heard anything yet.

There are a number of variables that determine how applications get processed (it's not just first come first serve by delivery date). Unfortunately I think concurrent 130/485 applications are one of the longest to initially process. Based on other timelines from June/July, I'm going to follow up if I haven't seen our card charged by the end of next week as the general window appears to be ˜15-20 days until payment processing, but in this thread alone there have been examples of both quicker and slower!

The order is usually: payment processed, then texts a few days later, then physical notices a few days to weeks after that.

Hi

I concurrently filed and realized I an outdated edition of the I-765 Form. Assuming my I-485 gets approved I should be able to include my NOA I-485  when I resend the new edition I-765 so I do not need to pay a fee.

Lastly when you get a rejection for an outdated I-765 do they send back the filed

outdated application for the I-765 and it’s supporting documents? Do they hold on to the supporting documents? The reason I ask is I am not sure if I need to recreate my I-765 application or if I just need to completed the new edition I-765 form with my approved NOA for the I-485? I would think it would just be the form if they do not send back the supporting documents I have already sent to them?

I hope I don’t need to reprint 2 passport photos and regather all my supporting documents. Would appreciate if anyone can share

Hello Caro

If your AOS package was delivered on Aug 20th (as I could read on a post above), your I-765 will NOT be rejected. USCIS will accept the 12/26/19 edition (the outdated one) if it is postmarked before Aug 25, 2020. So keep calm and cheer up! Everything‘s gonna be all right!

Never to early to start thinking about your AOS (I-485) interview here are a few things I would like to share with you in case you are drawing blanks on what you will take to your interview. Although my interview was waived I was still prepared to attend so I am sharing what I was going to bring to my interview. Since I did not use it it'll be used during ROC provided we have a interview then. I have posted this before, but it's most handy to post in your own thread so the people can find it readily. Lot's of items won't apply to you and I understand younger couples won't have near the amount of items. USCIS does expect you to have basic items that married couples produce together, so if you don't have it you only can bring what you have. Good luck to you all and I hope my little tidbits help you plan for your interviews:

That was super generous of you! Thank you so much!

When did they receive your package? You haven’t received any text message for any of your packets? Also has the check been cashed atleast? If so hopefully soon

They received it Friday morning (8/28) so I know that I am still within the normal time and not to worry yet. No checks cashed but that can take upwards of 20 days I have seen here so I am not expecting my checks to be cashed just yet. I am waiting on those text messages right now.
