I agree. Within 10 days or so you should be seeing check cashed and 10-12 days after that you should be getting SMS + NOA in mail box.

Once you see check cashed, you can also call USCIS to get your case numbers. That's what i did.

Thanks! I will definitely follow it up so I can get my case numbers then! It's only been five days so far but I am so keen to be able to move on with my life haha.

Ok here are the letters I received. I’m still on the phone. My check was for 1225$ is that not correct? I am so confused.

I can't read what it says. What is it saying the fee is?

Oh no! I’m really sorry to hear! Did you use category C9 for your application? I remember someone mentioning here that they used a different one. This could affect the fee you would need to pay (as with C9 you don’t pay for EAD or AP)

Oh good point. I am hoping that is what it is and not someone keen on making people pay more already. Plus easy fix for them.

So excited and happy to join the AOS August filers (on the third try)! The first time I included the wrong fee's and missed a document, the second time I didn't print off 3 pages of the I-485 (duh!) and this last time I went through with a fine tooth comb, checked to make sure I had the  updated forms and all pages, plus supporting documents. I called USCIS to answer a few questions and I was told I-944 was required, I didn't ask about the new no blanks rule and I didn't mark n/a on anything.

Here's my timeline:

Third package sent August 17th- via USPS

Arrived at Chicago lockbox August  20th

Check cashed August 28th

Waiting on NOA1

@Leah88 Pull your copy (I-485) out and check your filing code, if that code is incorrect USCIS will ding you for the incorrect fee!

They told you that the I-944 was in fact required?

They received my packet on the 20th as well and I did not send the I-944 with it. I hope I won't get a rejection based on that, the form wasn't even on the website at that time..

They still haven't cashed out the money..

I am worried now too. They received my packet on the 28th and I did not include the form I-944 as it wasn't even on their website.. So, what do they expect? I included proof of this though but I am hoping I don't get a rejection on my two packets.
