Can you share your time line? Was this employment or marriage based?

Off the top of my head:

Aug 17: Received application

Nov 24: RFIE

Jan 27: RFIE sent (medical + I-944)

Feb 18: Biometrics

Mar 15: Decisions

It was employment-based.

Informed delivery says that I have three pieces of mail from USCIS today (and no packages). I thought the cards came in packages, so I'm a bit confused, but hopefully it's still what I'm hoping for!

Does anyone know how to get the usps tracking number for an EAD that has been mailed? I have an online account, but I don't see any information about it or where to find it.

Thanks!

I get USPS informed digest emails and that told me the tracking number.

"Well, I Was Sleeping, Y'Know, And My Mother, Who Passed When I Was Very Young, Y'Know, She Appeared In A Dream, Y'Know, And She Told Me, Y'Know, Very Gently To Just Let It Be, And So The Next Morning I Went Right Over To The Piano, Y'Know, And I Began To, Y'Know, Write The Song, Y'Know"

My case status updated, and I just clicked on the USPS link on that page, and it took me right to the USPS tracking page. No need to get the number from anywhere.

What a bummer, I got two approval notices for I-485 and I-485J (supplementary form for employment-based I-485) and a notice saying that they'll re-use my fingerprints for I-765... It looks like the actual green card doesn't get to you so quickly! Oh well...

Did you submit the 485J along with your initial package?

I-485 Interview today! Approved on the Spot!!! Hialeah, FL Field Office

Hi guys I hope you all are doing great.
My US Citizen husband and I had our marriage-based application interview today at the Hialeah Field Office.  We originally filed I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131 on 08/03/2020. I had my biometrics done on 02/10/2021 and our interview today, on 03/22/2021.

The IO was kind of serious at the beginning, but then the conversation started to flow more naturally.  She first started with questions from the forms I-130 (for my spouse) and I-485 (for me).  Then she began to ask how we met, how long did we date before we got married, where and when was the first date, when and where was the second date and how often did we used to meet while dating, what was my job in  my home country and what was my husband's job when we met.

We brought a bunch of documents, but she only asked for Bona-Fide marriage documents, so we gave her our joint bank account statements for the last 6 months, a T-Mobile joint account, correspondence we had to the same residency address, car insurance, life insurance, both driving licenses with the same address and a bunch of photos (like 25 and she kept with all of them).  She asked the story behind almost all of the pictures and asked us both to confirm who was in them.  She asked about our joint sponsor and our relationship with her (my mother-in-law's best friend).

We also brought 2020 W2’s and last 2 months paystubs from our joint sponsor.  The IO never asked for that though.  She didn’t even ask for originals of birth certificates and marriage certificate.

When she finished the questions, she told us to wait for her while she printed a couple papers to sign. When she came back, she told us: I think I have everything I need, you will receive your card in the mail within 30 days, and then proceed to explain the removal of conditions process.

When we got home, our case status for I-485 updated to: New Card Is Being Produced.

So that was our experience guys.

Fun fact: the IO had a document on the desk, it was like a memorandum stating that Public Charge form I-944 and supporting documents must not be taken into consideration lol

Oh guys, quoted is my corrected post, I had written erroneously the filing date before

Guys, based on your experiences, how long will take to USCIS update the case to "RFE received"?

My RFE was delivered yesterday, so just wonder when I should see some change.

Thanks

This is what my timeline says:

Package arrived at Lees Summit, MO on 01/21/2021 at 10:23 AM (not sure which time zone, this is what the FedEx tracking website shows).

Checked the USCIS website at 10:42 AM on 01/24/2021 and the I-485 case status has updated to: “ Response To USCIS’ Request For Evidence Was Received”. It says they received it on January 22, 2021.

Congratulations! my husband and I had our interview in San francisco on the 26th of February. We are still waiting for a decision. It's frustrating. Our IO was pretty dour and never smiled once during the interview, rarely made eye contact and left me feeling less than optimistic. He said we should expect an answer in 30 days as they are "backed up". UGH

Thank you! Don’t worry. That’s not unusual. Not all IO work the same way. If you presented good bona fide evidence, so there are more chances you get an approval than a NOID or RFE. You’ll see movement soon
