Hi guys! I filed for AOS with the forms I-485 and I-130 filed concurrently. I mailed the application out on July 31st to the Chicago Lockbox with USPS and it was received by USCIS the next day on August 1st (Saturday). Today is August 21st (that is 3 weeks since mailed out) and have not received news from USCIS, nor check cashed, nor NOA1 yet. Should I worry? I am afraid that they could have rejected the application. Hopefully not 🙏🏻 Any advice guys? The USCIS webpage recommends to wait at least 30 days and not calling within the first 30 days after filing, but I’m starting to feel anxious since I have seen that many of you filed a couple of days after me and have already received updates from USCIS. Thank you 😊

I wouldn’t worry since you are within the normal 30 day window. There’s also no harm in calling, especially if it eases your mind a bit. Someone might be able to tell you if it got rejected or not. Or they will say what you already know-that you are within the normal time frame and to call back again after day 30.

Hi everyone! My wife is always telling me Brazilians are everywhere...  :)

Our adjustment package was signed for by Harper yesterday. We did not include the I-944 based on the USCIS instructions, but are expecting USCIS to request them at some point so we have the documents ready to go.

Fingers crossed that the furlough is avoided and our applications are processed quickly!

Welcome and good luck !

I wouldn't worry, I've noticed a wide range in processing times and remember seeing at least one successful application with 5 weeks+ before NOA1. There are a bunch of variables that can impact processing times, even for applications physically delivered to USCIS on the same day, like: mail carrier used, application type/forms filed, payment method, office your file will eventually be sent to, speed of the USCIS employee who happens to get your envelope, etc. So I wouldn't let rejection be the first worry.

One question, though: did you mark the outside of the envelope with the forms you were filing? It's not required, but I do think it speeds up the application intake if you do it.

Which version of the I-765 did you all submit? There's one form that expires May 31, 2020, and then their updated 8/25/20 one that expires in 2022.I just don't want to submit the wrong version and get it rejected. I should be sending it in the next few weeks.

Untill 8/24 you can submit both. After that only the 8/25.

Hi Everyone!  My wife and I have recently been married and looking to submit our AOS Package sometime this week.  The I-944 Form cannot be found on their USCIS website when using their form searches section, so I believe it has been taken down due to the injunction.  Based on this link: https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/public-charge/injunction-of-the-inadmissibility-on-public-charge-grounds-final-rule, I'm hoping I avoid filling out the I-944 and submit my package.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

@apellica That's right, AOS can be filed without the I-944 now because of the injunction.

If you still feel like having fun with 944 here it is: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-944-pc.pdf

We got married over the weekend and so today I am doing the finishing touches of our packet and sending it off tomorrow. I feel nervous sending it without the i-944 but I also don't want to wait around and see what happens as this process is long enough. I applied for the i-944 stuff anyway just in case it gets kicked back and I will have it ready but hopefully I am good!

Congratulations! Were you able to get the marriage license after you got married? Take your time and go over your packet. Once you are done go over it again!

Hi guys, I'm new in this forum. My wife and I applied in August (USCIS received the forms on August 5th). Since then, still no Receipt Notice or anything else. Any suggestion? Also, what time of the day does USCIS usually send texts?

Yeah the celebrant gave us the license and we took it in and got our certified copy instantly - pretty easy process thankfully!
Definitely! We are both going to take a packet each and go over it and then swap and go over the other one!
