Still waiting as well. Husband arrived on K1 Visa. Filed AOS/EAD.. Case received 8/20. No biometrics appt yet. NBC is processing our case. ASC located in Newark, NJ.

Did anyone receive bio appt notice via text or email? Concerned our notice may have gotten lost in the mail??

I’m pretty sure we never received text or email notifications for the biometrics appointment.

Since the EAD and AP halted when our I-944 RFIE was issued, should we update our timeline and add the RFIE date to the EAD and AP sections as well to give us a more accurate estimate? I’m curious to know what everyone else put on their timelines for this.

what do you mean halted? People have gotten their EAD in their hands without even sending their i-944s back yet.. I don't think your i-944 for your i-485 halted your i-765 and/or i-131 because of a bunch of us got Bio appointments while we were still working on our i-944s. But who knows, every case, city, etc seems to be different it seems.

Hi guys,

Any aos marriage interview happening in Vegas? I was already scheduled for a December interview on Nov but was Descheduled due to change of address to a new state. It's from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. My time line has been doing fast until then. Hopefully, we get the interview soon or even better if it gets waived. But I'm not counting on it since they rarely do it for a marriage based case. Although, I've been married for more than 4 years now so hopefully that happens! 🙏 My PD is Aug 29, 2020.

Biometrics for my AOS and EAD was scheduled Tuesday, Jan 19. USCIS closed all ASCs nationwide for two days (because of inauguration) on Jan 19-20. Called support and they said the appointment will be rescheduled automatically.

lol why are they auto-scheduling for days like xmas eve and inauguration day only to have to move you to another day that might not be for weeks. Silly.

In the case of Christmas Eve, the EO wasn't signed until December 11: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-providing-closing-executive-departments-agencies-federal-government-december-24-2020/ So the already scheduled appointments had to be canceled.

In the case of Jan. 19-20, it's unprecedented. The potential threat has grown after the Jan. 6 Capitol events. So again, the already scheduled appointments had to be canceled.

See below for more details, but after adding the RFE our timeline it was saying approval would occur in March or worse. But I believe the estimate a few months ago was originally saying Dec/Jan. The approval notice was in Jan. I'm not sure how it's calculated.

Not to add logic into the realm of bureaucracy, but it would make sense that an initial review of documents would be needed before issuing documents like EAD and AP, etc. But then again, we all submitted identifying documents during the Visa processes so you'd think that'd be recorded somewhere...

We had a similar fear after receiving a RFE in early Nov. We submitted the RFE late Dec, 2020 but had the biometrics app in early Dec. Our Notice of Approval for EAD and AP were issued on Jan 12. 🤷‍♂️

Fingers crossed for ya'll especially with the madness of cancelled appointments!

Hi all! Quick question as I’m going crazy.

I have a degree from a US university. I also did my senior year of high school in the US. However, between US high school and US university, I did a couple years at a foreign school. I did not graduate. I do have some unofficial grades (impossible for me to obtain the actual grades/transcripts since they ask me to go in person), would it be okay with just submitting a copy and officially have someone translate it? It’s for form I-944. Thanks!

We put in an expedition request for his EAD and AP on Friday, Jan 8.

So far no updates to those status', and no email updates. *Waits*, *Taps fingers on the table*.

Hopefully by Friday of this week we'll hear something.

He desperately wants his SSN too. It's unreal that they want the immigrants to be self-sufficient but then won't let them work for months or longer. 🙄😒

So far we received an email today January 19, that someone is working on our expedite and will let us know if they reach a decision. No updated case status on USCIS yet. I thought they were closed today?

I believe you only need copies of the transcripts and diplomas for I-944. I'd suggest looking at the instructions for the form and here on the forum. However, you will need to have the courses evaluated by one of the USCIS' recognized evaluation services and they usually require an official transcript for course-by-course eval. Check the I-944 instructions , they may suggest NACES.

I'm not sure when the status online was updated (It's been a few weeks since) but it the case status states USCIS received our RFE the day after our currier service confirmed the delivery.

Finally got an update after my biometrics appt (1/8/2021). Today my case updated to “card being produced”, only for my i765 tho, nothing updated for my i131, so I’m praying I get a combo card. Also my i485 still only says “fingerprint taken” and not ready to be scheduled for interview like most people. Still grateful though ☺️. (Queens nyc filer, pd 8/19)
