2021 taxes are not filed until early 2022.

The current tax season is for 2020 taxes. If you haven't yet filed 2020 taxes then it's asking about 2019 taxes.

I'm pretty sure that it would refer to 2020 after reading the instructions again. Some people made it sound like they were talking about the additional income for THIS year which would have been $0.

We have been stuck on ‘case was updated to show finger prints were taken’ for nearly 3 weeks now. I know we aren’t alone but you always hope your case might be the one that moves along faster than the average processing times!

I did not sent I-944 and I have not had an RFE for it so maybe it’s coming.. I just wish the EAD could also get moving at the same time!

Does anybody here know of anybody who's got an RFIE related to the contents/documents of form i-944? i'm just wondering what i should take extra care about. i'm considering not sending an equivalence of my degree because i don't work with it anymore, i shifted career..so i would be sending it just to say i have a higher degree but i actually work with something unrelated, besides, that degree is kinda useless here in the us (law)

Thank you. This link was very useful 😊

but I do hope you get it done as quick as possible, the earlier you submit, the more quickly your application will be adjudicated! best of luck!

Per USCIS I-944 instructions:

So, if you are filing before Apr 15th, 2021 and don't have the transcript for financial year FY 2020 yet (which is likely going to be the case looking at the backlog IRS has). You can submit 2019 transcript and bring 2020 copy during the interview.

exactly!! I cannot agree more!!

I would still include it. It shows that you have an education which is a plus in terms of them considering you as a public charge. It really sucks to have to pay for the equivalence but i'd rather be safe than sorry personally.

I just get my University Degree evaluated. I did not get my High School evaluate, I just simply include it in package. Thats it! Ton of money to get evaluation!

Oh for sure. It is super expensive. I think that like you said, it is more important to get the university degree evaluated than the high school one!

Hi guys! So yesterday I received my interview notice for I-485, and my status changed to 'interview scheduled'. I completed biometrics just before Christmas and had no update on EAD. I was looking online this morning and it seems some people are skipping the EAD/AP stage completely for some locations. I am based in El Paso, and I know someone else who applied in August who just got their interview scheduled. I don't think it's unique to this location and worth noting that this is happening. Fingers crossed for everyone to have biometric and approval progress soon!!

I was thinking just a couple days ago that I would apply for a job with USCIS.... 1) I think I could do a good/efficient job!!, and 2) It might help with EAD expedite?? lol
