My biometrics appointment was originally scheduled on Dec 24, but the office was closed. I tried to walk-in this morning and it worked. The USPS informed delivery shows that I have another letter coming in today, pretty sure it is for the rescheduled Bio appointment, do I have to go again?

Any time you miss a scheduled appointment it does not look  good on you. I would for sure contact them and explain.

In the case of last Thurs (Dec 24), it's clearly not the applicants' fault since an EO was issued after the Bio appointments were issued: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-providing-closing-executive-departments-agencies-federal-government-december-24-2020/ As already mentioned, the building was closed.

Stranger things than that have happened. We got approved no interview, got GC then got a interview scheduled. Called USCIS  they said better to attend  if we got no cancellation in writing. That's  just what we did to cya. Like I said I would call and find out the deal before not just showing up if it is a appointment. You still have to let someone know. Additionally I never said it was the OP fault, I'm  just stating it's better to be safe than sorry.

Interesting, I was under the assumption that USCIS only waive interview for Employment based AOS. Congrats :)

This was back in March 2020 when the pandemic first broke out. Many folks got waviers for AOS interviews and many other strange things happened. The immigration process is still  a wild ride during this pandemic.

Yeah that make sense. Maybe they are still waiving interviews for some who knows.

Escalated my biometrics through a ticket and have not received a response back in almost 30 days. I will contact USCIS to see what else they can do...mostly nothing of course.

So we shipped our rfie paper work two months after we received it (yes, I wanted to ship it sooner but life and work got in the way).

We received the rfie Oct 16 with a date of Oct 13 on the letter. We mailed it Dec 18 (evening) (ups) and it was delivered at noon ish on that following Monday Dec 21.

I had been checking the case status on USCIS since shipping it. A few days later the case status updated (I was shocked) to them receiving our response dated Tuesday, Dec 22.  I'm surprised it updated so quickly.

I've been checking daily and nothing since (I know it's not been long, I'm just hopeful and anxiously waiting lol).

But I check the USPS informed digest today, Dec 31 and there is a letter from USCIS coming today. Dated Dec 15 on the envelope. 😍

It doesn't look like an RFE from what I can tell.

I will let you guys know what it is.

With that kind of delay I hope if it's the biometrics appointment notice, that he didn't miss the appointment date.

*Fingers and toes crossed*

****Happy New Year everyone!****

We did get an rfie for i944, we shipped our response to the rfie on Dec 18 and the biometrics appointment was mailed to us on the 15th. So they scheduled an appointment before we responded to the rfie.
