Anyone who used check to pay the fees. Do you see image of the check in your bank account? I usually get to see the check image in my chase account but for USCIS bank is telling me that USCIS cashed the check but didn't provided bank with the images yet.

I was hoping to get the receipt numbers from the back side of the check.

The reason you're not seeing it is that they don't really use your check to cash it like we usually do. They use the information in it to do an electronic fund transfer:

Quote

Authorization for an Electronic Funds Transfer: By submitting your check, you authorize us to convert your check into an electronic fund transfer. We will use the account information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer from your checking account for the amount of the check. If the transfer cannot occur for technical reasons, you authorize us to process the copy of your original check through normal paper check procedures.

I just sent ours yesterday and I did not include the I-944.

Thank you so much for your reply!!

Also to everyone, what carrier seems the best option to ship my packet? By best I mean safest, fastest and with good trackimg availability.

Thank you for everyone's precious help during this complicated process.

IMO FedEx I've used them both times K1 and AOS no issues and great tracking. Make sure you tell them what you want. The USPS  is to be avoided for now due to all the turmoil.

Thank you so much! I will use Fedex then!!

Yes I would be afraid of using USPS right now. I hope everyone else avoids it too to avoid delays.

I am surprised so many of you are not submitting the i-944 still. Should we not be? I am so confused now. Either way I applied for my ECE transcript today as I think I am going to do the i-944.. Is there something definitely either way?

I shipped using UPS just for the sake of it getting delivered on time. I also requested for signature required option.

@Cilllah I'm surprised too. I would definitely send the I-944 as well, just to be safe. Or I would wait to see if USCIS updates their guidance on this matter before sending anything. I'm assuming they will have to break the silence this week.

I'm one of those that didn't submit the i-944 because based on the requirements on the USCIS website as of the day I posted (last Friday), the instructions were not to include it. Also, someone else here (I think @INF) called and spoke to a T2 officer who said it wasn't needed if it was posted immediately.

Someone else explained it in another post about the USCIS' approach to implementing new policies based on court decision:

I think they will announce how they will reimplement this newer court decision too, but it will most likely take effect from a future date.

But, in the end, no one really knows the approach USCIS will take. If you are really worried and filing in a couple of weeks (if I recall correctly you're getting married next week?) then you should probably prepare the i-944 as things could be quite different then.

Correct! I am getting married this Friday but our health insurance doesn't start until September so if I do the i-944 I can't submit it until then. I have everything ready to go now bar the marriage certificate and I was ready to post it so now I am not sure what to do.

I will be so happy if it takes effect from a future date and would post everything before then..
