I filled N400 on 07/29/2020 and was received on 07/30/2020.

Estimate waiting time was 12 days, today i checked and it went down to 3 days!

My Question is, if possibly this could happen as well with Estimated case completion time as shown for 6 months??

i am in el paso texas.

Don't worry you case won't be complete in 3 days haha. El Paso is at 6.5-9.5 months https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Maybe that means you will receive your biometrics appointment in 3 days? If so that's good news

And the 6 months went down to 5 months. I don't know if this estimate is legit.

Typically that means the time for biometrics. But nowadays it really depends on other stuff. There have been people waiting for biometrics since mid-March. Logically they come before you. I personally would be very surprised if you get an appointment soon, but who knows, and let us know if so.

After three days it will show this: "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time."

Mine was 29 days when I filed. After the system update yesterday, it changed to above.

I doubt VERY much that status update is correct.

Lucky Curds gave you the website for the processing times

Between 6.5 and 9.5 months is what it shows for ElPaso

the 3 days would be for biometrics and if that is the case ,  you would have a letter by now saying to come in for the fingerprints and photo

also if you read the site it says this:

This time range is how long it is taking USCIS to process your case from the date we received it

that is the timeframe only for processing / not for interview and then the oath

it looks more like you will be finished with all this next spring

The estimated wait time is for the next stage. In your case, that will be to receive the letter for your biometrics appointment. Six months total processing time is very good. I filed in September last year and my estimated time is 16 months. Be glad your local office is reasonably fast.

Yup, that’s what it said. I’m a bit skeptical considering the estimates a few weeks ago was up to 36 months. We will see what actually happens when it does I suppose.
