Just got back from my interview. I got APPROVED!!    It was really quick, was in and out within 30 minutes and nobody else was there. CO was really friendly. He asked quite a few questions but

I just paid the IV fee online after getting my passport back. I didn't get a slip with details about how to pay the IV fee. I just went to https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee, entered my A-Number

London usually would, but the reports I’ve seen, they are requiring spouses to wait outside.

even if the embassy have had an email and put the spouse on the list to enter.

You know what? I think the number you have to enter is the "registration number" (it is a 8 digit number, no letter) that is on the right part of your Visa on your passport...

USCIS - FILING FOR I-751 (CR1)

May 21st 2022 : package sent (with Fedex / Delivered on May 23rd) 

May 27th 2022: case received with Receipt # (NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER)

May 31st 2022: NOA received. I-797 (24months extension)

June 11th 2022: NOA for a Biometrics appointment (set for June 30th - need to reschedule it - not in the US on that day! 😱)

June 14th 2022: walk in at the Center - all went well. Biometrics done!

December 8th 2022: Received a Notice of Action. I-751 APPROVED! 🎉

December 10th 2022: New GreenCard received in the mail 🥳

Anyone else with post-lockdown DQs hearing from the London embassy? I know it's likely to take them a hot minute to get through the backlog but much like everyone else I'm getting really miserable at the thought of possibly not being able to see my wife all damn year. I'm just praying every day for some kind of news or progression. I'm scared we're gonna be seperate for Christmas at this rate; I can't think of anything more sad and lonely than spending it here... Yes that's normal. When paying for your Immigration fee to get your green card you won't need those numbers.

Hi everyone. The NVC didn't ask for an upload of the birth certificates of petitioner's children (beneficiary's stepchildren). For the interview, does the beneficiary need to bring these? The stepchildren are US Citizens residing in the US. Due to COVID, it may be difficult to get the originals in time for the appointment.

No you don't need those, the beneficiary only needs to bring the birth certificates and photocopies of the birth certificates of the beneficiary's biological children

Our CR1 Journey:

 

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

 

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

 

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

 

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Most likely the reason they are doing student visas is because they desperatly need them, school starts very soon and without visas they can't go and will miss the whole year. If it was not August and so close to school starting probably they wouldn't hold interviews for those student visas.
