Hello VJ friends,

My spouse had an interview on Aug 7th (Kathmandu, Nepal). she also got the slip from consular officer that says your visa is approved and have instructions.  But when i check the status on ceac website,  it says, it is ready for an interview. when she had interview it changed to administrative processing(Aug 8th-Aug11) until last night and now changed to ready. Anybody had this issue before. please suggest, we are panicking !!

It does that goes from AP to READY to ISSUED. No worries.

What reason did you give them? And did they say why they denied you? If you're a f-2a then it might have to do with the executive order.

I am CR1. They did not say why they denied the only thing that they couldn't process my expedite request to be fair with all the applicants 😒

I was thinking you are a f-2a since that's what your timeline says. What did you base your expedite on?

Just in case anyone's wondering...Montreal denied request for expedite of CR-1 based on the fact that I'm a nurse. They said I don't meet criteria for expedite, and a blurb about all routine services being suspended. Requested this at the end of May and they replied today (Aug 14). Woah.
Anyway, took forever to hear back from them.

Hang in there visa journey-ers! Some day we will have our green cards in hand.

I do have one more question.. on my visa the case number contains extra 2 numbers at the end.. it goes my case number than 01 is this okay orrrr?

Yes it is correct.

You will now have to pay for the USCIS Immigrant fees (220$) via https://pay.gov/public/home.

Along with your passport, you should have a paper that explain what to pay and how. I remember, we tried to enter the full number and it did not fit - or we tried to enter only my usual case number and it did not fit. What I mean (and sorry if my message is not clear) is try both numbers, the long version and the short version...

Good luck 😉

June 11th 2022: NOA for a Biometrics appointment (set for June 30th - need to reschedule it - not in the US on that day! 😱)

June 14th 2022: walk in at the Center - all went well. Biometrics done!

December 8th 2022: Received a Notice of Action. I-751 APPROVED! 🎉

December 10th 2022: New GreenCard received in the mail 🥳
