*An appeals court ruled on Aug. 12 that the recent order blocking the Trump administration’s PUBLIC CHARGE rules would only apply within New York, Vermont, and Connecticut. The decision follows an earlier that temporarily halted the rule from being enforced nationwide while the United States is under a national public health emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"The August 12, 2020, decision did not impact the July 29, 2020, district court order granting an injunction that enjoins the government from implementing, or taking any actions to enforce or apply, the 2018 FAM Revisions, the DOS Interim Final Rule on Visa Ineligibility on Public Charge Grounds (84 FR 54996, 10/11/19), or the President’s October 4, 2019 Proclamation, Suspension of Entry of Immigrants Who Will Financially Burden the United States Healthcare System in Order to Protect the Availability of Healthcare Benefits for Americans (84 FR 53991, 10/9/19) during the COVID-19 pandemic."

The block on the DOS rule for consular processing is still in place

My CEAC went to AP, hope it is a good sign. From what I have read on here the CEAC goes back and forth between ready and AP before the visa is issued. I had my interview on 12 August and for 2 days CEAC simply said Ready.
Praying every day that my visa will be issued 🙏🏻

Hi everyone,

Anyone else with post-lockdown DQs hearing from the London embassy? I know it's likely to take them a hot minute to get through the backlog but much like everyone else I'm getting really miserable at the thought of possibly not being able to see my wife all damn year. I tried emailing the embassy about it and I got the generic response saying to look at the website but I can't make heads nor tails of it. I'm just praying every day for some kind of news or progression. I'm scared we're gonna be seperate for Christmas at this rate; I can't think of anything more sad and lonely than spending it here... Any shred of information is a godsend.

Thank you all for being such a nice community. I look forward to reading success stories from everyone ❤️

Congratssss 🥳

Thank you, I am waiting now for the courier service to announce me when I can pick up the passport. My interview experience was somehow weird and I was extremely anxious for the past couple of days. I think I'll cry when I get the visa on hand.

I came back to embassy 2 days after the interview to submit one missing document and half an hour later my passport was ready at dhl with visa on it 😀

This is great, I am  so happy more and more people start to get their visas and be with their families.  Much luck to you in the future, when do you plan to go to the US? I am undecided on what route would be the best, I was thinking flying thru Doha or Istanbul.

Thank you, i think we’ll leave soon. We’ll either go Istanbul or Frankfurt. Also yet to decide, but it doesnt matter as long as it gets us where we need to go haha .. best of luck to you

Istanbul seems like the more guaranteed option for making it to the US without hassle given the EU travel ban still in place? As a spouse and now a Visa holder you SHOULD be exempt, but who knows if they will give you a hard time! Whichever way you end up going, I hope you have a smooth journey and am glad to hear that soon you'll be together living in the US.

Thank you so much!!!  Yes she said she is still in shock that good things are happening.  I just love her so much like I gave birth to her that I can't wait til she can have so many doors opened for her that she didn't have before.

Does anyone have any news about the consulate in Nigeria?

Still closed. I have heard maybe after November they will resume. They have canceled all interviews they rescheduled up through October. Airport is still closed to international travel also.
