First your status will have to change to "ready " . Are you talking about a regular interview or an expedited request?

NVC changed the status to expedited interview without me applying so not sure how it works

Ok, so first wait until it says ready. Then contact the embassy to see their procedures and ask if they will schedule for you or if you have to schedule your own interview. For my wife it took about 5 days for them to schedule an interview. And the interview such a short notice. It was within 4 working days.

I met a guy today at a restaurant in Florida who is at the NVC stage with his 2 step kids in the Philippines. He told me they told him itd probably be December before the visas were issued. He had no idea you could request an expedite.

I got his number and sent him a long txt with the expedite email. If he follows the steps I told him he should get them here in a month.

It was really cool to share what I've learned from this forum.

Could someone pin this on the homepage possibly? If you don't know what your looking for this thread is kinda hard to find and I think its a great source of information for people and would be great to have others join in the discussion that might be getting interviews soon.

Mine was 2 weeks “in transit”, then we got an email when we were “Ready”

When does it show ready? After the email with interview date? I don't know if a family can survive living separately for 9 years. 5 months feels like forever.
