When does it show ready? After the email with interview date? I don't know if a family can survive living separately for 9 years. 5 months feels like forever.

Ready just means  the embassy has received it and it's ready for an interview once one is scheduled. So it's safe to say before an interview is scheduled if the case has been expedited.

I got the interview email the same date it showed Ready. Others have reported an extra 2-3 days. So, over estimate 2 weeks for transit and 1 week for an interview date.

Also to clarify, we haven’t been in the process for 9 years - we started the IR1 process last August 🙂 It is what it is, we’ve gotten to have some really cool experiences with our long LDR

For those who get a very close interview date, does the medical arrive in time? I heard ours is an online system.

I can let you know on the 18th! Medical is scheduled for next Wednesday

My wife was DQ'd on April 28. Still waiting on the Islamabad Embassy to reopen.   I tried an expedite but it was refused :(

I had my medical exam done on 7/9 and my interview on 7/15. It's eMedical report. On the interview date, it wasn't ready, so I received the blue sheet (for 221(g). Then my medical report came out on 7/17. I then had to pick up the eMedical report info sheet and submitted it together with my passport to the Consulate.

Do they ask for w2s on interview? If yes, for which year? Everything was uploaded successfully but I am not sure if they can ask again.

If your financial situation is limit, they may ask for it.

But honestly, from what I have read, with all interview feedbacks, it seems the interview is mostly to check if your marriage is real, if you have ever worked in the US (unofficially), etc.

They are aware that you cannot have latest papers from IRS.

As for the other papers: they focuse on your civil documents (police certificates, birth/marriage/divorce certificates) + DS260 + your ID photos + your passport (of course) + your ITW email.

Even if the Consular officers make the ultimate decision (Port of Entry by the way), the NVC step is the biggest and the most important. So if it went well at NVC and you are set there, there are very few chances, it will go wrong at the Interview. So bring whatever W2s you have, you cannot force IRS administration to work faster.

Take care.

The DS-260 is he actual application for the visa.  It is completed at the NVC stage.

Wait. I am confused. Do they need originals of what was submitted online? Do we need to print it?

Consulates usually require you to print the confirmation page, and take it to the interview.
