BTW, you could do that if you're in the US, but if you're in Canada, and then go to the US with that intention it's fraud. So....

Yeah, I know. I'm presently in the US... But I will be returning to Canada. It's just not practical or realistic for me not to, despite how much I want to just stay.

Oh cool, I wish they would post everything in the web page, so I wouldn't have to check on facebook. I know see your post above mine, thanks 😃. On the website it seays that immigrant visas, including K-1s are restricted to emergency appointments only, from yesterday's update

Hi, I am in the exact same boat. Crying right now at this news about August interviews. My husband and I have also been long distance for 4 years, waiting and hoping. I cannot believe they have not re-opened. I have also reached out to my representatives and senator. I feel like I am at a dead end. Hang in there, I will try too. :(

Hang in there! Me and my husband are on 3 years long distance and it isn’t easy but it will be worth it in the end.

They should probably upgrade the Immigrant Visa section from red to a yellow if they're gonna start interviewing spouses again. Or maybe more an orange? It definitely sounds like more than just emergencies.

Yeah same. I’m sure they’ll post it soon for something more concrete

Smashing news that we have cancelled interviews being rescheduled so soon after that video update. Hoping that K1s are soon and can be rescheduled in September/October at the earliest.

My interview - which was due in April - was cancelled. Seeing this precedence of them getting priority is pretty damn good.
