Flying through YVR to see my fiance was fine. The officer was nice, didn't ask about my K1, only got curious when I mentioned that I was visiting my fiance and asked a few questions about him. I only had to show my itinerary for proof (even though I brought more than that to prove ties) and that was that.

My fiancée and I travel back and forth all the time, as we live 7.5 miles away from each other. We never have a problem. Although, I, the US Citizen, was once pulled over into secondary and was given a visitor's record good for the weekend, and on the next time back over was to provide proof of ties to the US and that I don't live in Canada.

Ok... after reading your previous posts I see that you were denied entry on a TN and not as a tourist. You should be good to go visit as long as you carry your proof of ties to Canada with you. Good luck :thumbs:

I have visited Lorry in WA. on 4 different occasions while the process was ongoing. I just came back on May 12 after being there for 2 1/2 months.

I had no problems at POE on any of the visits. Just the usual questions where you headed, for how long, ever been to the US prior and where.

I brought all my paper work with me along in case they had problems with anything regarding the Visa Petition. Just be honest don't tell em more than they ask info on

What do you mean Toronto is unbearable? where you refused to board a flight to the US at pearson? If you were denied boarding during PFI then you will have to carry more proof of ties to Canada like lease agreements, employment letter, paystubs, utility bills etc. Unless you have these there is a good chance you may be denied again (I am assuming that you were denied once, please let me know if I am incorrect in that assumption)

Huh. I wonder how true this is... several people from VJ seem to have gone to visit in the USA while their visas were processing without a problem. Some have been denied but that was because they didn't have sufficient evidence of ties to Canada...

I don't know. I have only heard that it is the case. I didn't want to take my chances though.

My fiance lives 4 1/2 hours away and I go there every one to two weeks for the weekend and I've gone for vacations ect .. I've always been totally honest about where I'm going, who I'm going to see and what stage my application is at.

I carry all of my files for proof and also a letter from my employer, my pay stubs and my phone/cable bill. I have only been pulled over once (just after I received my NOA 2) and I didn't have all of my paperwork with me .. they just told me what to carry and sent me on my way.

Not once have I been denied entry ... POE is the Peace Bridge

I'm glad it worked out good for you. I just didn't want to take a chance. Good luck on your interview.
