Los Angeles/L.A. County filers

I thought it might be helpful to start a thread on filers from Los Angeles. Things seem particularly slow over here.

I filed my application and had. biometrics in late August last year. My estimated case completion is set to September - but as of yet, no interview scheduled.

Be interested to hear if anyone has had any successful rescheduled interviews or scheduled interviews and, if so, what their application dates are.

Thanks for starting this thread! I completed biometrics in October ‘19, and was estimated to be completed this month. No interview updates for me personally but I’ve seen a couple July ‘19 filers get rescheduled interviews, and receive their oaths the same day! Both of those were completed this month (July ‘20).

Well that's promising! I'm refreshing my USCIS online account every day, hoping to see a new document uploaded/update on the interview date.

I don't know if this means anything or not... The estimated case completion date changed from September 2020 to August 2020 today. Still no interview scheduled - but this must be a positive sign, I think?

mine also moved from saying three months to completion to suddenly saying august completion.  I filed back in Nov 2019.  Los Angeles

Any updates? No interview date for me here. I hope it wasn't just a glitch.

I posted in the first Los Angeles thread that USCIS website shows the LA county office as "closed to the public" from July 27. Uncertain if they interview people or not right now.

Would this affect the San Fernando office in Chatsworth?

I don't know tbh. The website doesn't specifically mention Chatsworth, but then again, it's probably considered part of Los Angeles county field office, so..

Chatsworth is onLA County per the zip code allocation.

But yes, it is closed to the public. Only open for Oath ceremonies.

The field office Im' supposed to be going to is San Fernando Valley (SFV) which is located at 19809 Prairie St Ste 100, Chatsworth, CA 91311. Whereas the LA County field office seems to be located at this address: 300 N Los Angeles St rm 7631, Los Angeles, CA 90012

So I'm not sure if these are considered separate field offices or if they all come under the same umbrella?

The Chatsworth field office doesn't even show up in the list of field offices in CA when you check the processing times. It's only LA field office and LA county field office (and since the address is in LA county I assumed it's considered part of LA county field office).
