While we wait for further info on our Spouse Visa, I got to thinking about moving our belongings.

 

The question which springs to mind is will our UK TVs work in USA? They are a Sony Smart Tv and a Samsung (not Smart). I guess there will be no issues with Now TV stick or Amazon Stick?

 

Grateful for some guidance.🙂

Can you swap out the plug for a 110v? Should show if it is multi voltage/frequency.

Had a look at the Spec sheet and this TV doesnt seem to have dual voltage. The spec sheet says.

 

POWER REQUIREMENTS (VOLTAGE/FREQUENCY)

50Hz, AC 220-240V

 

I guess there is no point paying to get this tv shipped?

Asked the husband about this and he's giving me a strong no. It would likely be best to sell them and start fresh in the USA, and that it would be more trouble than it's worth. There are several electronic items that are able to be easily converted and used in the US, but TVs aren't generally worth it.
